Forget about the mega-chain this pizzeria spawned. This location is the first, with arguably the best pizza in the world. Waits can be long, up to two hours sometimes, but it is worth it. One-of-a-kind crust, loaded thick with toppings make the pizza to die for, or go for some Minestrone Soup and a salad. The decor is rough-and-tumble, old school Chicago, but the menu has is modern trends and features "specialty" pizzas. Do not even think about counting grams of fat, just eat.

A deep dish pizza, very deep, yummmm....

Every time we come to Chicago we stop and have an Uno's pizza. I love the cheese, the sauce, and the crust. I've even ordered it to go, walked back to the hotel room and ate it there.

THE Chicago Pizza. It's a weird place and you had better like thick crust - BUT if you do it doesn't get a lot better than this. WARNING: order the size smaller than you think you want! There is more there than you think.
