Harry Caray's Restaurant Group, Chicago

I am only writing a review of the bar. When our hotel The HARD ROCK told us they did not televise the Cubs game my traveling companion told me where we could go I had no idea what I was in for. The true Cubs experiance. The bar was full 3 deep and every table full. A wonderful boisterous crowd. What a sports bar should feel like. Great Chicago experiance. The pictures of all the famous people it was a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The prices were fair and the shots were big. I believe we had appitizers though I had to much Gentleman's Jack to actually remember.

I had to stop in to Harry's on last Chicago visit. Had the ten oz (seemed like 10 lb) burger, started with the asparagus and prosciutto. All were dynomite. It was really windy that day so the mega-lunch provided us the safety of extra tonnage while walking around out on the streets.

Loved this place....great food, great atmosphere........cant wait to go back to again.......

Do not let the name throw you off, if you think of Harry Caray and baseball you think hotdogs etc... No this is a full on steakhouse. We were very surprised when we go there. The atmosphere is awesome with alot of Caray memorabila, but be prepared to spend some cash..

the guy below is moron. Harry Caray rocks! My steak was so good I may just re-visit Chicago just for the steak.

I recently dined alone at Harry's. Waiter was excellent but the good experience stopped there. I ordered what was supposed to be their best steak and it was mediocre at best. On top of that as a single diner the staff almost threw the food at me. I doubt I will return alone or with guests.

I go to lunch here about once a month or so and have always had a great time. We always grab a table in the bar so we can watch the many flat panels located around the bar. The service is great -- the wait staff always remembers our group. Even though there are usually many people, there's never any pressure to eat faster or move on before lunch is done. Excellent lunch specials. The homemade chips are excellent. One of these days, I'm going to have to try Bill Kurtis' Tall Grass steaks.

Forget Shula's and Ruth's Cris if you want a great steak and good wine list, this is the place.

Fine meal and a great atmosphere.Good value and excellant service.My veichle was hit by a taxi in the hands of their valet service.I have not been compensated for damages. Have been getting the run around and spin from the valet illigodos.Time to teach them a civics lesson.

you pay for the name and friendly atmosphere. but the food isn't that great for the price.
