West Egg Cafe, Chicago

Our hotel conceirge told us about West Egg while we were visiting last weekend, and I was very pleased. There was only a short wait and the food and service were both excellent! I had pancakes topped with fresh strawberries, bananas and whipped cream. It was great! I highly recommend West Egg if you are in the downtown area. I will definitely go back there the next time I am in Chicago.

West Egg Cafe is a phenomenon ! This is the place where I had enjoyed having breakfast the most. When I am in Chicago , I always go to West Egg to have breakfast .Hulya

Really good breakfast spot. As the name emplies they serve eggs every which way. I like the diner atmoshere and the wide variety of choices. You can literally have it your way. The atmosphere is hip and the staff is friendly. Just the I like my breakfast. Reasonably priced.

Hi, I just wanted to pay compliment to the chef. I ordered the Taco salad and it was satisfyingly delicious, also the soup was "real chicken soup". I'm quite impressed. Thank you for a wonderful lunch, Mashiell

West Egg Cafe is a nice diner style restaurant in the Streeterville area in downtown Chicago. They serve breakfast and lunch and the prices are very reasonable and the food is great. My favorite thing to eat there is the chicken fajita pita (potatoes and salad are served as sides).

I've eaten here twice, both times were on Holiday weekends. There was about a 20 minute wait both times, but the food was definitely worth the wait. Good food, good service and reasonable prices. I'll go again the next time I'm in town!!

After reading these reviews, I had to go to West Egg Cafe. The place was PACKED and it was a Tuesday Morning. I can say that the food was definitely worth the wait. I had their version of Country Fried Steak and it was great. Their gravy is extremely tasty. The reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because the service was terrible. I'm not holding anything against the restaurant, however, as I am hoping it was just our server. She did not check on us once and didn't even bring cream for our coffee. All in all, the food made up for the poor service.

Absolutely the best place in Chicago to eat breakfast. Always busy, but consistently great. I personally love the Eggs Benedict, but no matter what you order, you will be pleased. There is always a line, but trust me, it will go fast. They have the best service around. You must go and visit when you are in town!

This place was phenomenal. We went there time during our short stay. The eggs and potatoes are truly to die for. It can get VERY rowdy so it definitely isn't for a quiet breakfast but well worth eating at at least once.

We are not from Chicago, but frequently travel there. We discovered the West Egg Cafe while on a trip and now we stop in every time we are in Chicago for one of the most "Eggseptional" breakfasts ChiTown has to offer. Always ask for Rod. He's always taken care of us and is a great host! No matter what your heart desires, you'll find it on their menu and there are no disappointments here. They have everything for the heart and healthy to the very scrumptious. The kitchen is skilled and expedites every order. The management is on top of everything and the service and quality are ALWAYS consistent. They have a great atmosphere where dining can take place at the breakfast counter or you can sit in a window seat and overlook the busy Chicago Streets. Go. You'll love it!
