The kids absolutely loved the exotic atmosphere, with the animated movement and sound effects!!

kids might have fun at this place, but stay away from the food. i went with a large group that ordered a variety of everything. and all the food was less than desirable. which is nice since it was awful.

I love this restaurant! It was so great for the kids. They had trainers there with different birds and the kids could pet them. They loved the food, there was a variety. My husband and I found something we liked and so did our kids. We also loved looking in the gift shop. It gave restless kids something to do, so they could walk around. They also loved the giant aquarium. It was so cool to see all the fish. We loved the animatronics as well. They added a whole dimension to the eating experience. I love this restaurant!

If you have small children this might be a place for you, but for the $ the 5 fish tanks and long wait you would be better off going to a mcdonalds with a play room or chucky cheese pizza. I went with 3 adults and we couldn't hear each other talk because of all the kids screaming. And the 1/2 hour wait is a huge scam to get you to buy stuff from there gift shop. Food was at a denny's level.

When Rainforest Cafe came to the campiest, most Disney-like section of Chicago, I thought its giant frog statue that could be seen from blocks away was the most obnoxious tourist come-on in the city. Even worse than the stories-high portrait of Michael Jordan on the side of his Eponymous restaurant, or the big ole guitar jutting up from the Hard Rock Cafe. But my kids bugged me into taking them to Rainforest Cafe and...Hey, it's a jungle in there. Huge leaves, waterfalls, robotic wildlife, gift shop, pricey chow. Want real fun? Take your family a few blocks down and eat at nuttily entertaining Ed Debevic's.

Great fun: The Rainforest is a wonderful adventure of food, and fun. Set in a Rainforest Safari theme complete with waterfalls, elephants, and tigers. The effects are are pretty cool also. Thunder, and lightning, rain, and different animal sounds. It is really is a wonderful adventure for the whole family with amazing food fit for a king. From surf and turf for mom and dad to mini burgers or hot dogs for the kids. The Rainforest Cafe has a location in Chicago on Ohio St. I give 4 stars out of 5 for theme, food, and great service. I must recommend for you shrimp lovers the Nile Shrimp Enbrochette. Very good, very filling.

This restaurant couldn't be better. My daughter absolutely loves the fish and the animals all around. It is great for eating, shopping, or just visiting to look around. I couldn't ask for a more fun place to take my children.
