I will NEVER bring my family back to this Chicago location again. We had a reservation for 6:15 and were not seated until 7:15. Familes without reservations were waiting nearly 2 hours to be seated. The small lobby/waiting area was crowded (standing room only) with hungry children & crabby parents. For a restaurant that is supposed to be a fun family experience, Rainforest Cafe greatly missed the mark. When we were finally seated the table still had food crusted to it from previous patrons, my chair was so wobbly I was afraid it may break and the highchair they provided for my 2 yr old would not fit up to the table due to a bar being across the base & the base of table being in the way. Horribly thought out seating arrangements for highchairs. The food is overpriced and portions not very generous for the price. I don't have any positive comments from our experience, which is sad. My children didn't even enjoy it because they were cranky & hungry from waiting so long. I would rather go across the street to Portillos, be seated right away, pay reasonable prices & have my family happy. If I could only give 1/2 a star for this review I would.

My husband, 5 yr. old daughter, and myself went today for lunch and we ordered ouir food and waited about 25 minutes for our food!! We were starving! The restaurant wasnt even full! My 5yr old had ordered the mac n cheese and it was $6.00-but that wasnt the bad thing, when my daughter was finished with it, she was still hungry!! The portion was so small, it didnt even fill my petite 5 yr. old's tummy!! Come on im paying $6. for the mac n cheese-at least make enough to fill my 5-yr-old's tummy!! I understand they need to make a profit, but DAMN!! The ketchup bottle was almost empty, and when i squeezed it, it just splattered the last bit on my arm! WTF?! They only gave each of us 1 napkin!! Talk about cheapskates!! Tight grip on their $! Everything came out to $50. Personally, if im paying that much for lunch, I expect the same quality service in return!! At olive garden we pay the same, and the service and everything is amazing and worth it!!! I dont think we'll be going back there!

This location has gone downhill from our prior visit. We should have taken the reviews to heart. The food was okay but WAY overpriced.. The air was stuffy and the decor looked dusty. The bathrooms were FILTHY and this was at 4pm on a Wednesday so certainly before rush hour. Bottom line....big chunk of change out of your wallet for a meal that is certainly not worthy of that cost. We will never go again.

Dined at this RFC many times. Seated right away on a Sunday evening...not crowded. Waited at least 5 minutes before our server came to see us. She apologized but said it was because they cut the server staff. From there, the evening was fine. Food seems to be better than in the past. Great time for the kids, but the decor due for an upgrade soon. I rate it a 6 out of 10 for dinner.

This place was a wonderful place for me to go once! It is a must see but I do not feel that I need to go back. The food and service was good.

If you are spending all day shopping and the kids are hungry, why not? It is a theme park more than a restaurant. I like the ecological motif. I would not plan a trip around going here. I just would not complain too much if this where we wound up.

Fabulous for children but adults alone also have a fun time. Staff knows how to deal with children. Can easily accommodate large groups. Expect to stop at the gift shop. Worth the wait. Even adults like the animated animal displays. Save room for the Volcano which can easily be shared by 5 people. Great for child or adult birthday celebrations.

Fun to go to with the kids. Not really an adults (without kids) restaurant.
