Interesting atmosphere with the deer and buffalo heads throughout the restaurant. Placed a reservation on line and the say they never received it. They still got us in just and hour plus later. Their advertising stated grilled steak. Well infared head is not grilled in my book. Grilled is with flame. My porterhouse was to say the least sad. It was approx 3/4 inch thick and tasted like a pan fried dried out steak. I asked for medium and it came out medium rare. Near the bone it was rare. The waiter was attentive but acted almost too busy to check on us. My wife asked for well done salmon and it came out rare. Almost to a cold center. You can tell raw salmon by color and texture. Her Caesar salad was acceptable. My clam chowder was great. So to sum it up I would never go back. The main reason is that their steaks are not great. You can t have a great steak without flame. Infared heat don t cut it. Last don t reserve on line.

I really enjoyed this place. Food was extremely good but I thought the prices were too expensive. Service was good and she was helpful. The seafood appetizer was almost $50 for 4 Clams, 4 Shrimp, 3 small lobster tails.

Consistently the best! Everytime I visit Chicago the Capital Grille is a must. The Porterhouse is excellent! All the steaks I have tried are always high quality, the service is top notch and an overall great way to start an evening. Definately worth the $150 a couple which is our average check.

I love to eat....and I'm a meat and potatos kind of girl. I was first introduced to the Capital Grill on my 30th birthday. I am absoolutely in love with their chocolate martini...It's not made with kaula or heavy cream, so it's light and has a wonderful chocolate taste. The service has always been wonderful and the steak is first rate. It is pricey, so this is not a place to go on the regular, but for a special occassion or when you want to live it up a bit, I'd highly recommend it

My friend Nikki had her birthday dinner at this upscale steak house. The food was pretty good, but it was kind of overshadowed by the outrageous prices. Now, by no means am I a cheapskate, but I do like value. My steak dinner, which consisted of a porterhouse, mashed potatoes and asparagus was $53. This wasn't including the $6 that our table was charged for water or the tax and tip. This is a great place for a romantic, special occasion dinner when you want to impress your date. Not too good for a night out with the girls.

Wear your best suit to this popular spot for power lunches. Great place for steak lovers, but since I'm not, I go for the lobster bisque, and calamari with cherry peppers & scallions (this dish is worth the visit all by itself). If you can handle dessert, try the white chocolate mousse, it's heaven.
