Maggiano's - Italian Catering & Restaurant, Chicago

The food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was delightful. The service was excellent. This was my second visit and I intend to return.

I usually eat at Maggianos Little Italy in Los Angeles - The Grove Location, next to Farmer's Market. I have eaten at the Grove location many times. On vacation this July 4, 2005, I ate at Las Vegas location. After walking the Strip for a couple hours, my date and I were both very hungry, and went to Maggianos Little Italy at the Fashion Show Mall. I order the lagsana, and my date had the Italian Salad. We expected the best, but we got the worst. -The waiter did not provide any bread, until we asked. -The food was rushed. My date's salad still had the preparation utensils from the kichten. The waiter had to take them out, after we asked! -Several minutes into our meal, my date realized that the salad was poorly washed. There was a bug on her broccili :( Horrible place! My date vomited several times. We recieved no compenstation or apolige. We just got asked if we need medical attention or a trip to the hospital, and that is it. I recommend never eating at the Las Vegas Location. Go to the FOOD COURT next door!

Ask for a table outside, and you can enjoy all the fun of Chicago on a Saturday evening. Food and service are also excellent

This is a great restaurant for family style eating.

The best family style dining around. If you enjoy Italian food and lots of it this is the palce to be. We went on a SUnday after church and there were about 15 in out party with quite a few children. We started with two appetizers: spinach and artichoke dip and the best fried mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce I've ever had. The kids love that and they were gone in no time. For our entrees we ordered spaghetti and meat balls for the children, salmon with dill sauce, chicken caciatorre and spinach and chicken manicotti with a cream white sauce which was delicious. There was so much food and plenty to carry home. For dessert we had creme brulee and Nona's pound cake which had chocolate sauce over vanilla bean ice cream with bananas. I want to go back right now, but it's after midnight. I like family style dining when there are a lot of people with children. The room was loud with laughter and conversation which was jsut fine with me. It's a place that serves up the best food and the ambience isn't bad either. You'll enjoy yourself.

You simply cannot go wrong with Maggiano's. Particularly the family style dining. The fact that this is a Lettuce Entertain You Restaurant means service is impeccable! For dessert, try Nona's poundcake for a refreshing change of pace.

By far the best restaurant around. The Salmon is superb, the vegetables are cooked to perfection and the ambiance is all the rave. Although their eggplant parm is not as good as my home made, it runs a close second. I'd recommend you check it out next time you are in Chicago.
