Outstanding stuffed pizza! Much better than Lou Malanatti's. Enjoyed the calamari appetizer and shared a small stuffed special pizza. Having eaten pizza in New York to California this I would have to say was in the top two or three. Great service a nice atmosphere.
After many visits to NY pizzerias, we were very anxious to have some taste of Chicago deep dish. However, I must say, while the pizza was ok overall, it was bit too cheesy, lacked tomato sauce, and lukewarm. Also, small pie which is recommended for 1-2 people is way too much for 2 people -- it would be plenty even for 3 people. I recommend ordering 2 personal pies (with different toppings) instead.
It might have been good at one point, but I get a sense that it has become somewhat touristy. Afterall, it's conveniently located just steps away from Sear's Tower :-)
My favorite deep dish is still at Zachary's in Berkeley, CA.
When I was in Chicago with my family we didnt know where to eat..So we decided to try some of the Chicago pizza...And it was probably our best decision yet..Their pizza is sooo awesome I could stop eating it..I even ate it the next morning for breakfast!! So trust me on this one...IT ROCKS!!!
WELL MY FRIEND LOW LOW SAID IT WAS ONE OF HIS FAVORITE PLACES. SO THERE WE GO ITS A LAID BACK COOL ATMOSPHERE. MAN THE PIZZA IS GOOD TRY SOME SPINACH ON IT AND LAWD WE HAD THE THIN CRUST TRY IT YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!!
I love the Stuffed Deep Dish Pizza. Other honorable mentions are the thin crust pizza. I am not a thin crust fan, but this is the best thin crust pizza I ever had! I went to the location in Downtown Chicago on a friday night and it was packed , but the wait time was worth it. Everytime I visit Chicago, I will make it a point to stop by here!!
My husband and I decided to have dinner at this little restaurant while in Chicago. We ordered a deep dish and were blown away with the quality and taste of the pizza. Be aware the pizza if you are ordering a deep dish does take about an hour in the oven so don't be in a hurry...we assure you its well worth the wait!! We will be going back next time we are in Chicago.
Giordano's has the best pizza in the world. my girlfriend and i have looked far and wide and in several states and other countries. Chicago has the best pizza ever because they use just the best type of sauce, dough, and sausage. It is surprisingly hard to find a similar pizza style anywhere else, and of all the Chicago pizzas, Giordano's is by far my favorite. The thin crust, cheese and sausage pizza is so good, it brings tears to my eyes to think of it , since I moved out of Chicago. Now, many of us in other states, ask our relatives to bring us a slice in a ziploc when they come to visit. There is nothing like it. Thank you Giordano's !!!
I could go on and on about how Giordano's is amazingly wonderful pizza!
