In continuous business since 1935, Miller's Pub has long been a Loop favorite. Come more for the atmosphere than for the food and libations. While you can't go wrong with the barbecue ribs and the seasonal fish selections, the food leaves something to be desired, as does the beer and wine selection. But, the crusty Chicago atmosphere is the real thing, so take a moment to peruse the celebrity photos all along the walls. It can be crowded during theater season.
went for dinner Wed. April 29 Service was awful, actually our waitress changed half way through. Felt like cattle, wanted us in and out as quick as possible for greed. The rolls came after the soup. Had the salmon, bland, no seasonings, broccoli unedible. Alcoholic Drinks extremely watered down. Over all terrible experience.
Went back for my third visit while in Chicago and brought along 6 other guys after doing the Motorcycle show at McCormick Place. I love the place and after getting some of the best burgers, ribs and sandwhiches so did my 6 friends. Great service, food and value. Will go back again in a heart beat.
Great old place - by the pictures on the walls everyone who was/is anyone has been there. I was there on a very hectic night - Election Day 2008 and it was packed. The staff handled the rush well. I was seated within the time period they told me to expect and my server was busy but attentive. I had the lamb with a side Greek salad and it was great.
We got into Chicago late in the evening and the hotel suggested Miller's. As we walked through the door I was impressed. Great service, Loved the food, Waiter was great. Great atmosphere. I will be stopping at Miller's again.
Great food. Good prices. Excellent service. With a reservation at 6:30pm on a Sat night we had no wait...but people without a reservation were waiting a long time. However, I am sure it was worth the wait for them. Casual place. We had the pulled pork & burgers and all was A+.
My daughter and I stayed at Palmers next door, we ate at Millers 3 times. I did not try the ribs although I should have. Did try the pulled pork. It was a generous amount of food for the price. Thought Karl the bartender was cute and distinuished looking. The waitress and waiters were ok. The clean-up guy was quick to clean up which was good. I liked the atmosphere. Was there on Sun-Tues nights. Wasn't too busy. Service was pretty quick. Food was good. People were friendly. Wish they had one here in Ohio. I would hang out.
