Rose Bud in Highland Park Just 20 minutes north of the city is horrible !!!! rude managers and terrible wait staff they ran out of a side dish and told us half an hour after we ordered! the food is so mediocre do not come here
Although I've only been there once, it was a great experience-we asked one of the servers who to ask to get a seat and he seated us himself, without the hostess, which meant we skipped the wait and went straight to ordering our drinks-the rest of the meal was just as great!
I've been at the Rosebuds on Taylor several times. Twice we ate outside and twice inside. Food is plentiful and almost always great. Some nights the food might not hit a homerun, but no place is perfect. Service is always good and friendly. We've always felt at home.
We were in Chicago for the weekend for my birthday. We went to Rosebud's on a Saturday night (with reservations). We were seated on time. The food and service were excellent! Great wine selection also.
Place was a total disapointment!
First they missed our quoted wait by over 45min and never said sorry. Service was then fairly good but the food was average. Better restaurants in this area of town, stay away from this one...OVERRATED
Ever want to take someone to a nice restaurant? Never hesitate to take my friends when they come to town to Rosebuds. Taylor Street location is wonderful, classy, and great service. If you like a faster pace of Chicago, Rush Street is great too.
Terribly authentic Italian! The servers are so charming too, everything on the menu is great. Make sure to get a reservation (try to go on a weeknight) since it's soooooooo busy and reservations on weekend nights are almost useless. BUT the food is worth the wait. Definitely do the Bucatini Rosebud.ENJOY!!! We always go to the Rush St location when in Chicago.

This colorful taverna in Greektown is well worth the short trek from downtown. The menu mixes standard Greek fare, including
