Stop by at Jerry's for some real juicy sandwiches. There is an unbeatable list of options to choose from. You could also be innovative and create your own. Cold and hot sandwiches, different breads, lots of sauces, wide array of fillings... you could eat a different sandwich every day of the month. A stop here is definitely worth it.
Line was long, service was worse than aweful.
Try Riviera Foods on Harlem and Belmont.
Pick your bread, pick the meat and sauce/ toppings
you won't be able to finish half of it.
Found it once while driving down harlem.....
I've given Jerry's a few trys, granted only the one on Division. Unbelievably bad service. Appetizers never arrive, over 60 minutes for a sandwich. What?! I think there are only a few things on the menu of quality, too. Most of it's yuck. I had one great sandwich there which means I would order that exact sandwich again to go. Not much complexity or diversity for Jerrys, I think.
As far as the sandwiches go Jerry's is fantastic. When it comes to the service, Jerry's is terrible. Plan on waiting at least 45 minutes to an hour to get your food. Expect your wait staff to be non-apoligetic and downright cocky. Order in advance and take it to go!
great flavors and fresh ingredients. a bunch of different meats and ingredients to choose from. i got a sandwich with turkey, mango chipotle chutney, avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion on fresh multigrain. the turkey was like it was roasted and carved on site. not sliced thin or processed. their cole slaw is excellent - not too heavy and fresh vegetables. nice friendly & inviting ambiance inside & with outdoor seating.
