Thai Bowl, Chicago

This is one of the best thai restaurants in the city. Don't be fooled by the outside of the restaurant, the food is great! Big portions and the sauce they use is amazing, not sure what secret ingredients they are using. I have eaten here plenty of times and will continue to go back. I would recommend this place to anyone, a lot better than the chain restaurants out there.

The Staff is definitely not friendly and they have the worst customer service. My bubble tea was filled with ice and no fruit! Their super cheap with their ingredients and it shows in their food!

Very authentic thai food. Cooks aren't foreigners. They're Thais. So you know you're getting awesome food and the staff are soooo friendly.

i was surprised at how nice it was to sit outside, and have so great food. although i have to unfortunatly agree wit some of the previous reviews about the service... there was some attitude comming from the staff, but if you have the right state of mind, u should not let something small ruin your night. be nice and just smile, and enjoy the food! thats what your there for anyway, ur not there to make a new friend! lol overall great spot to hang out and relax. amazing food.

One of the dishes we ordered had a bad smell (smelled like rancid oil). We exchanged for another dish but got dirty looks from the staff. Needless to say we will not be returning there again.

I really love the food they have to offer. The best Thai I have ever had in my life, and I have tried lots of Thai resturants. The service could be better though. They have a little bit of an attitude, when taking orders.

I work at UIC and frequently went there for lunch or for an early dinner. No more. The noodles are still decent I'm sure, and when the weather is nice I'll miss the alfresco dining. That doesn't outweigh the awful service though, I am not going to pay money so I can be ordered around like a school child and lied to- when I am not outright ignored. If you must go, don't order anything with beef. They use the cheapest, grossest cuts of meat I have ever had at a restaurant in this country.

Great thai food at reasonable prices.

I used to order from Thai Bowl about once a week. I have stopped because of poor service. Most of the staff are very hard to understand and have issues with understanding customers. Delivery has been very bad becuase of language barrier. Delivery guy couldn't find my building and I live on a corner of two main streets in the West Loop. They called twice to tell me the guy was having problems finding my building, but would be there soon. The order never showed up. Tried to call back, but line was busy for 45 minutes straight. I think they took their phone off the hook. Food is decent and they are cheap, but their are better options.

i used to go to thai bowl once a week, if not more. but recently the service has be horrid, the waiters are sometimes very hard to understand and extremely rude. i will say there thai food is amazing and its a pretty cheap buy. if harsh service doesnt offend you and you only have a few dollars, thai bowl is the place.
