Ricobene's has always been part of Chicago's gastronomic scene with its fine Italian cuisine. It has now been transformed into a large modern dining room with evocative pictures of the city on all if its walls. A good place to indulge in Italian steaks and local dishes like 'red hot Italian beef' and 'Vesuvio Italian Classic' sandwich. The sandwiches are amazingly large and delicious with juicy pieces of steak wrapped inside. Besides all of this, they do serve good portions of French fries and a very good serving of Bar B Que chicken. To quench your thirst they also serve beverages here. Chicago Style Pizzas are also a big hit with the patrons of this fantastic food joint.
I have eaten there for lunch about three times. The last two times I was there, I ordered a slice of stuffed pizza...unlike the stuffed pizza I've eaten at Giordano's, the tomato sauce was really chunky, which is actually good. I have no contest between Giordano's and Ricobene's, except Ricobene's service is a little slow. It's a terrific place to order out otherwise.
