I have been to this place twice in the past two years. The ambiance is nice and they have Mariachi Playing. HOWEVER! The two times I have been here my credit card has been charged twice. Today while checking my credit card I found that I was charged for two orders my own and probably someone else’s at completely different times (?). I’m very disappointed! Call the place to talk to the manager; apparently they are no one that can help me until the owner gets there. So hopefully the OWNER will call me back. I’m awaiting response. My advices bring cash or go somewhere else. I will update on the owners response………..
We live approximately 60 miles from Pancho's. I would drive that distance every week for there menudo. In fact, everything I have ordered there meets my native mexicano palate. Tejanos prepare our mexican food a wee bit different, but for platillos mexicanos, nobody can beat Pancho's.
I have my professional meetings there, Service is always terrific, helpful, speedy, informed. On your way out, stop at the panaderia. If you like sweets, bet you won't leave without buying a charola llena de pan dulce. nMy neighbor always asks me to bring him a batch for the grandkids. And they are second and third generation German American.
I did not realize they add the tip to the total because we were six. They keep the dining room very dark so I did not notice that the tip had been added. I added 20% tip. So all in all I gave them a 35% tip. Good tip, uh? Next time I go I will not tip. It is very hard to find an honest business that protects their customers. BE ON THE LOOK OUT WHEN YOU DINE AT PANCHO'S.
THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!!!
I would recommend it to anyone...it's a family place or a place to have a few drinks w/ the gals. I have not found a place w/ better food and atmosphere. Don't miss the mariachi band on Friday nights!
Last night my family and I went to this place for dinner. After receiving our meal and not until a few bites into it I noticed the cheeseburger I had ordered my daughter from the kids meal had mold on it! Yes, mold; a quarter size of it on the top of bun. I was not sitting next to my daughter so I don't understand how the cook could not notice it. Further, they should watch the dates on the products they cook with! I was also stunned by the fact no one apologized for this incident! The manager was present and no one came to our table to offer an apology all they offered was a replacement meal. The only thing that was off my bill was the $3.00 kid meal! I am disgusted with this place, I will never go again and do not recommend it. Being a mexican myself and loving mexican food there are better places than these for mexican food!
P.S. I have never written a review before; however, I thought this was very important to note.
One more thing: I had been here before couple of times since they opened and recommended it then. Things have changed.
