Flavor Restaurant, Flossmoor

Purchased a fried turkey for Thanksgiving. It was the worst turkey I have ever eaten. It was dried out and had absolutely no FLAVOR. I was embarrassed to serve it. Luckily, we had other meats to eat. When you pay $70.00 for the turkey alone you should expect something better. Never again will I order anything from them again. DISAPPOINTED!!!

This place is ok but the price was off the hook 70.00 for chicken and greens and cat fish. It was ok but not for the drive all the way to the south subs. I am my wife wil not be back just to high. Then on top of that the service is weak as hell we got to do better people !

Went there 9/29/10 for lunch since we had a 50% of coupon for the second entree. We arrived at 2:45pm and there was only two other groups at the restaurant. My fiance ordered the catfish fillet and I ordered the Jerk Chicken. Since my fiance was very hungry he ordered a second fillet and was told he would be charged 4 or 5 bucks more. When our food arrived the jerk chicken was basically chicken overly grilled with no spicyness whatsoever. When the bill arrived my fiance was charged $18.95 for his lunch speciall becuase he ordered two fillets yet was given the lunch plate(smaller portions). In all our lunch came out to be $35 mind you they do not offer you bread, chips, etc. and we could not use our coupon. In any other setting the waitress would have explained this before hand; given that the lunch prices were only $9.95. What a waste of money, we might have well just ate downtown Chicago and at least we would have left full. Maybe this restaurant is known for their breakfast---but for lunch it is a complete waste. Hope this restaurant tanks...and another opens up that really serves up cajun catfish and jerk chicken......So Flavor get off your high horse and really start cooking!!!!

this was recommended to take my mom for her birthday...and i must say i was pleased the service was great the food was good...we all ordered something different so we could all try it...we had the sweet potato pancakes, shrimp n grits, chicken n waffles, and i must say it was all delicious....the only complaint is i wish the inside was a bit larger...but hey u got to start somewhere maybe with constant good service and reviews they can get a bigger location...hey i'll b back maybe try something different

We had breakfast at Flavor. The food and the service was excellent. Three people in our party, two of us had the eggs, bacon, pancake and potatoes, the other party had country fried pork steak and eggs. All of our selections were good. The eggs were so fresh and the potatoes were so tasty. However, that country fried pork steak sure looked good and my friend said it was tasty and tender. Next time we are coming for lunch, maybe sit outside.

This is such a great place with delicious, tasty and flavorful dishes from their unique breakfast platters and diners all the way to their dessert menu! They have an excellent cinnamon bread like pancake w/peach topping platter for breakfast, for diner I like their red beans w/rice and smoked turkey platter and for dessert, their bread pudding is out of site! It's so good, I eat it w/o the sauce, just ask ahead for them to put the sauce in a seperate container.:) The management and staff are always polite, professional and accomodating. The environment is a very cool, friendly and refreshing one. They feature live jazz entertainment on some days. It's a great place to bring out of towners, your significant other and the family in general. Even the customers have a peaceful vibe to them!:) I would definately recommend that you try Flavor Restaurant out. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!:)

I went for breakfast with my mom. They had some of the best food I hasd ever had! The sweet potato pancakes were great. My mom said that her dish was good too. Our waiter was attentive. The place has a good vibe 2 it. I will be going back to try the lunch and dinner. But the breakfast was the best I've had in a restraunt.
