Jenny's Steak House, Chicago Ridge

been there numerous times. The place really is the most Hot and Cold restaurant i've ever been to. Sometimes it's really decent, a good tasting Steak, done right, and Tender, sometimes it's overcooked and tough. It's a nice enough place but there's room for improvement.

We visited Jenny's for the first time on NYE. There were two families, a total of 6. We had made reservations for 5pm. Half of us arrived at 455pm. The other members of our party were lost on 115th St. Immediately, the 3 of us were led to our seats. Complimentry Brushetta, bread and butter and water were delivered to our table. Within minutes our server arrived taking our drink order and asking if we had any questions about the menu. It was a limited menu, but had a good variety of items. The rest of our party arrived and we placed our order. Our party order two 8oz filets, three 8-9 oz lobster tails and one of Sally'sStuffed Tuffoilis. We had a choice of soup or salad and potato. Five of us had the cream of chicken soup...very good with chunks of chicken. The salad was a good size and fresh greens. We all ordered the double baked potato...yummy. Our entrees came with a side of veggies. We are not big on veggies, but they had good color and looked fresh. All of us enjoyed our entrees. The lobster tail was so good...meaty, sweet, cooked to perfection. The steaks were of good flavor and melted in your mouth. The Tuffolis was very tasty. Our lobster tail was only $34...what a deal. Our water glasses were always full, dirty plates were removed promptly. Server was very attentive. We finished off with ice cream for dessert. Our server agreed to give our table separate checks. After going out for the 35 years on NYE, this is the first time a server was willing to assist us with the bill. Overall this was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, going out of their way to make sure we were happy. Only negatives were parking on side street and it was a tight fit in dining room, but these weren't important enough to ruin a very positive pleasant evening at Jenny's. Thanks to everyone at Jenny's. We will return to this great restaurant.

Really like this place. Steaks and ribs are great, along with their other dishes. Went there the other day and ordered the beef stew (special of the day). Best I've ever tasted! Love the London Broil too. I can go on and on... Just try it out! Kudos to Jenny's!!!

Five family members for Easter brunch. Very bad! What a mad house. Brunches are NOT one of their specialties. Got stuck sitting right next to hostess desk and all squeezed into a booth with one family member in the aisle. We saw the waitress one time to take drink order and that was it. I was told by a young lady that cleaned dishes away that we have to go to the bar if want any more to drink! Then a man sitting people came to ask us about drinks. Not worth the $$ we paid. Nobody taking care of the brunch line cleaning and refilling. Names of food written on an index cards laying on the table with grease on them. Although the beef at the end was good, I feel we got ripped off. Very dissapointed. We just wanted to try something different.

Would like someone to know my wifes and mine bad exprience at dinner on 07/17/2010. My wife had the pork chops and i had the porterhouse. Chops were a little dry as was the double baked potatoe. The porterhouse was suppoe to be cooked medium rare and it was very rare. the waitress we had acted like we were bothering her we weren't even done with soup and salad when she bought the meal and when she put the plates down instead of placinmg them done she banged them down and slid them to us. i did tell one of the bus boys to let someone know about my steak but no one came back and when waitress came back she just put the bill down and said while walking away i'll be back to pick it up. will never go again

We were there yesterday and had a wonderful experience. We were seated right away, waitress came gave us the specials and took our order right away. We had a combo appetizer of onion loaf and cheese sticks which was brought in a timely matter. We also had the special prime rib dinner which was so juicey and came with your choice of potatoes. The service was great since the waitress didn't put in our dinner order until we told her. Was a wonderful experience and would go back again!

This is an excellent restaurant. Not expensive, as far as steakhouses go, and has great food! Also, what can be better then free bruchetta?

The steak was flavorless, vegatables looked and tasted old, the shrimp tasted like old fish. The waitress seemed indifferent to the review and handed us the check. This was our second and last trip to jenny's

Apparently there have not been any inspectors in this place for a long time. The 1st time I went to the one in Chicago Ridge the food & service was good, but the condiments were filthy. Went back a month later and waited 20 minutes for a reserved table (a special occasion). The busboy spilled a whole glass of water on one of our guest's lap. This time the condiments and glasses had to be returned for chunks of dried food on them. The tenderloin on special was sparse and very dry. Too bad for the decline in hygeine and service out weighs the once decent food. We will never return and have told everyone we know how disgusting it is.
