possibly the best hot dog i've ever had... their italian beef is also to die for... but besides their offering of delicious foods at a very reasonable price, the thing that sets frankly yours apart from other chicagoland hot dog joints is the owner. as soon as you walk in, you will be greeted with a genuinity that most family and chain restaurants lack. from the first time i set foot inside this restaurant, to last wednesday, i have always felt a sense of welcome... i highly recommend frankly yours because the service is as good as the food itself.
Frankly Yours brings the heart and stomach of Chicago into the suburbs. If you enjoy plain hotdogs and picture perfect cheese burgers, this is not the place to go. When you hear the term Chicago Style you know that youre going to need a lot of napkins, and Frankly Yours has plenty. The moment you walk in, the suburbs disappear, and a Chicago aura surrounds you. North side or South side, all are equally welcome with both friendliness and memorabilia. Top all that off with a cold beer and you have experienced a sincere side of Chicago.
Atmosphere: Sports fans unite as all of Chicagos teams are brought together. No one sided baseball fans here, the Cubs and Sox are equally great because they are from Chicago. The Bears and the Blackhawks are also here with their fair share of pictures on the walls. Questions, comments, and opinions are always welcome here with plenty of knowledge behind the counter. With signed pictures of Chicago athletes, poster size stadiums, and two TVs with sports always on, this is the place to go to watch the game. Music plays lightly in the background, and the family owners will even change it for their regular customers.
Food: Frankly Yours carries the usual menu of any other hotdog joint in town. Burgers, dogs, Italian beef, chicken sandwiches, and of course fries. The fries here are a stand out of everything else. A fresh potato is pressed through a slicer onto a counter then right into the oil. Once cooked to your specifications, they are placed in a double brown bag which gives them a great distinct taste. Great soups, chili and even slices of pizza are available. The gyros are of average quality and definitley made for onion lovers. Beer seems to be a necessary beverage here, and they have a few domestics on tap. Wine is also available, but out of place in a restaurant like this. All the food is made right when you order, in a simple manner, and in good proportion. If you dont enjoy the atmosphere, the food alone will definitely bring you back.
Value: Tight budgets are not a problem when visiting Frankly Yours. A decent meal with fries and a drink will only cost you around $6.00; not that much different than any local fast food restaurant. Extra sides, heavy on the pickles, every sauce they have, come to you and no extra cost. Drinks are not free to refill, but will only cost you fifty cents for each refill. If you plan on staying a while with friends or whom ever, it is worth buying the largest size drink they have. Since there is no cost difference to refill an extra large compared to a small, buy a drink size to accommodate the amount time you plan on staying.
Service: Service is what truly stands out at Frankly Yours. It is a family run business with the family actually running the restaurant. One of two brothers is always at the register with a genuine smile and an eagerness to take your order. Once you are done ordering your food, a conversation arises. It could be about the weather, sports, or if you are a regular, how you are doing personally. One brother happens to like jazz bands and the other likes adult contemporary, so when you walk in, just by the music, you know who is working the register. When you are done with your meal, a warm thank you is said before you reach the door, and you always leave satisfied.
Why Frankly Yours: Frankly Yours is a great place for a quick meal alone or with a group of friends. The food here is good, fast, and fresh. You feel like part of the family when you are in this restaurant and look forward to coming back as soon as possible. The differences between family owned restaurants and chains is dramatic and it really shows here. So next time you feel like a good meal, take a trip to Frankly Yours, and if you happen to be a few cents short of the bill, dont worry about it, its taken care of.

This place is like no other...simple, inexpensive, and the family owned business is unbelievable. You're treated as if you ARE family. All the food is excellent, simple and unbelievable fast. Try it and you WILL go back for more, you just can't get any better than this, great for parties too, and they also have beer and wine!
This place reminds me of the great hot dog stands in Chicago! Cheap costs ~ EXCELLENT food! Fries just like Suzy's on Elston! Family owned with fabulous personalities & genuine interest in their customers! This place surpass' other hot dogs places hands down! Why pay $6.00 for a dog & fries when you get both for under $3.00 here! :) Check them out ~ you won't be disappointed! Have the gyros too! :)
