Joe Pizza, Canton

Today was the last straw for me. No utensils, poor service and when we got the remainder of our extra large pizza to go, it was piled into the smallest box they had, the pieces thrown on top one another, looking like garbage! That is disgusting! Last time for us going there. This place sure has gone to the dogs!

I sat at two different tables and neither was clean. When I finally got the servers attention she said she hadn't had time to clean. There one table paying their bill, another waiting for food and a table that hadn't been cleaned during my entire visit. Not like she was busy. She complained to every costomer that walked throug the door about how few tips she had earned that day. Really? I finally had to request that my table be wiped. Really?! I waited for my dinner partner and ordered a beer. A few minutes later my dinner parter arrived, two other tables had arrived and been served (beverages and orders taken) before we had been attended to. They had no bottled beer after the initial order. Really?!? Our pizza arrived and we asked for garlic powder and were ignored. REALLY?!?! Had to get up to get our own napkins. REALLY??!! Our waitress left to get a coffee at Dunkin Donuts.REALLY? My dinner guest had to leave and I sat with my coat on and my remaining pizza waiting to be wrapped for 5 minutes. Mind you there were two staff now on the floor and two other tables in the entire place. Never again. Really. This place never made Pizza Hut or frozen look so good.

Their pizza has been going downhill in a serious way. We have eaten there many times, as well as done the take-out thing. Last week was the last straw. We ordered a SMALL pizza (the one with tomatoes, basil and mozzarella), bacon burger and eggplant fries to go and the total was $34.75. Seems a bit expensive. The pizza was sopping wet with grease, it wasn't cut in the box properly and the burger was dryer than a clean sponge. I've had better pizza from college pizza joints in Hartford. Their prices are high, and quality low. The best experience I had there was over a year ago when I went into the restaurant for a burger. Since then, it's too expensive and the quality too low. Pick it up again, Joe!

I have been to Joe Pizza many times. The food is always fresh and wonderful. The pizzas are the best around with all fresh ingredients. Lately the wait times for take out pizzas has not been as long and the orders have not been wrong like unfortunately used to happen. It seems like management has staffed the kitchen better and that the take-out staff has been upgraded. The Eggplant fries and the burgers are to die for. You can never leave this place hungry. Try their Philly cheese steak grinder you get a 14 inch grinder loaded with meat for $9.00 it almost impossible to finish. Their salads are enough for two people and if you get chicken added you dont get cold dry chicken you get 4 freshly grilled chicken tenders. Lately they have begun to add weekly special to the menu this weekend I ordered a Meat Lasagna it had to be the biggest piece of lasagna i have ever had at a restaurant it was loaded with meat ricotta and topped with mozzarella cheese and came with a salad all i can say is unbelievable. I would recommend this place to all.

I haven't tried the pizza yet but the Gorgonzola French Fries and the Hamburgers are out of this world!!! Joe Pizza is serious about their food!!! Best burger to date since I moved here in 2001. Go there. You will NOT be disappointed! Also, service was very good!!!

Just came back from Joes. It was very busy. Prior to sitting down I noticed that many people appeared to look like they had been waiting a while. Our waitress was pleasant and took our order in just a few minutes. That was the last positive comment I can make. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries , my wife ordered a chicken sandwich. As we sat and waited I noticed that our waitress was apologizing to everyone she served around us for the long wait. Not a good sign. After a 45 minute wait I informed the waitress that we couldn't wait much longer and if the food wasn't ready soon we would have to leave. She assured us that it would only be another minute or two. Presto, within 5 minutes we were served. I was served a raw cheeseburger and my wife's sandwich looked like a chicken salad, mostly lettuce and stale croutons thrown onto a grinder role. I think that once I said we may have to leave they threw our meal together. I informed the waitress of my displeasure and she said that she was very frustrated as well. I really couldn't blame her. Throughout our wait I noticed that sometimes there were 6-7 employees standing around behind the counter doing nothing. A thought. How about either replacing them with cooks or training them to cook.Oh , by the way, I never received the fries.Will never go back and I'll be sure I spread the word on how mis-managed a place Joes Pizza is. There are many good places to eat in Canton and they should get Joes business. Can't believe it is still open.

I happen to eat at Joe pizza on a semi-regular basis, mostly due to the fact that it is conveniently located very close to where I live. In all honesty, the quality of food couldn't be any more inconsistent. Sometimes, it is top quality and worth every penny. Other times, the pizza looks to be thrown together by someone not even out of middle school and with toppings that are the scrapings out of the bottom of the bin. Also, the staff is normally not only clueless, but EXTREMELY slow at times. I have also been PROMISED pizzas for my next visit due to receiving incorrect items and poor quality food, which was supposedly written down in a black book kept by the telephone and register, only to hear AFTER ordering that no employee present knows of such a thing. Personally, I'd recommend spending your money at any other decent pizza place in the area - Flatbread, LaSalle Market, Luna, or Little City
