Village Tavern & Grill, Schaumburg

We go here quite often. The food and value is pretty good. However, We went there about 8:00PM on a Friday night for the fish fry. Maybe one or part of one fish was cooked. The rest of the fish was under cooked. On some of the pieces you couldn't even tell where the fish was under the batter. We sent the fish back three or 4 times. The server told us they just made a new batch of batter.....Wasn't any better. They were nice enough not to charge us for the meal. Will go back earlier and see is the fish is any better. The supper nacho's are great.

A friend and I went in there on a Tuesday night near closing. Walked up to the bar and there was no bartender. Turns out she was talking on the house phone with a travel agent about her vacation. She saw us but didn't care. Proceeded to keep blabbing away on the phone while we sat thirsty. Finally, the bar-back had to stop what he was doing in the dining room and got us our drinks. The bartender finally got off the phone but then got on her cell phone and entered the bar. She didn't apologize or even say hi to us. All we got was the check. Handle your business on your own time. That's why people won't tip you. This is coming from people in the service industry.‎

Quite possibly the best restaurant in Schaumburg! The Friday night fish is soooo tasty (try the broiled version) and a great deal. The staff is very quick and friendly - even on really busy nights.

Wow.....whats going on here? They have gotten horrible! We used to go at least once a week. Not anymore. There service is failing. Their take out is especially bad. Of the last 5 times we ordered for take out 4 of them, they forgot some part of our order - usually the honey mustard for the chicken fingers. The portion sizes are smaller and where is the bacon that used to be on the chicken finger salads? Hardly any tomatoes either? Think your losing customers. You know what they say 1 bad experience and that person tells 10 others...and so on and so on....Do you know what you get when you go back and complain? NOTHING! An apology and thats it.

Best chicken fingers! Period! The Nachos are also outstanding as are the Waitress' and cold beer.

Food and service was GREAT! Parking was the only problem but with such great food no wonder parking was a problem. Who would not wanna go there. Prices are very affordable too. Oh one more thing ! not sure if service was better or the food. You guys rock ! I am never going back to Apple bees , TGIF or Chilis.. Outback may be. Village Tavern is the place to be.

Russels and the Tavern in Bartlett have great ribs, but the Village Tavern has the best! The sauce can't be beaten, and the meat literally falls off the bone. An added plus are the baked potatoes- they must put kosher salt on the outside before they cook them- be sure to eat thes skin!

We love going here when we do not want the hassle of doing a completely fancy sit down with our 6 year old. The service is awesome, and the food is great, and not overpriced.

The food here is excellent and the portions they give you are HUGE. Get used to ordering Half. I've never seen a Full order of Steak nachos. I can't even IMAGINE what that would look like! The steaks are wonderful. Excellent selection of food in general.
