Last year we had planned to go here for a nice steak dinner for our anniversary. We walked in and saw the hostess sitting down talking to a few of her coworkers, we just stood there for like 2 minutes before she finally came over to us and was like um can i help you? she was so rude, I asked her if we could look at a menu before we sit down because we wanted to make sure that they had some vegetarian options for me because he eats meat and i do not. She like um why? finally she coughed up the menus while we sat in the foyer looking at the menu we mutually decided not to eat there because of the snotty hostess.If you don't want to treat us with respect we are not gonna give you are business. Great job guys

Used to love the place but the continuous changes in owners, chefs, and staff makes it in-consistant. I've had more good meals than bad ones at M, but if I'm going out with my wife for a nice meal I expect it to be spot on each time and the servers to know about the food and the wine. I was actually considering going tonight but am thinking twice about it.

Great atmosphere, great food. The only thing bad about the place is the price of the meals. The average price if you don't stick to appetizers or pasta is $20-$30 per plate. It is definitely worth it, but it's not a place I can afford to go to very often.

My wife and I have been going for a few years. I really enjoy the variety and my wife enjoys the steak and a good glass of wine! The hostess always seems "cool", but wait staff has always been good until recently. Last few times service wasn't great and they changed their bread basket, which was disappointing to us- especially since our drinks took 20 minutes last time. It was our favorite, and we will go back, but we will also be looking for new places.

Hostess was snotty but waitress made up for it. Walked us through the menu, made suggestions, didn't treat us like the country cousins. The place could use some noise dampeners though. My husband and I spent a mostly silent anniversary dinner as we couldn't hear each other over the noise at the bar (and then that loud party was seated right next to us). Food was delish! Steaks cooked to perfection (which for me is barely cooked and I can so rarely (pun intended) get that from a restaurant). Lobster tail a little chewy but still tasty. Dessert excellent as well. Not sure what everyone sees/tastes in corn-fed beef as the flavor just isn't there but excellent cuts nontheless. Unfortunately the noise overwhelmed the whole experience and we will probably not go back. I like my special, eating-out-meals to be QUIET PLEASE and it is quieter at Denny's or IHOP on Mother's Day! Hmmm, wonder if they do meals to-go...

We went here for our Anniversary and planned on a great time. The minute we walked in the door the host was rude as could be!! " We can sit you as long as you are gone by 7:30" is exactly what she said. RUDE!!! The meal was alright but we have eaten at plenty of place that were much better. I ordered a glass of Pinto Noir that tasted like something totally different. When I told the waiter he told me I was wrong. Needless to say it was a horrible experience and we will never go back. The funny thing is we read reviews before we went and they all were prett ygood so I wonder how much those people were paid to write those.

(Upscale dining) We have been to montarra on many differnt occasions! Great atmosphere! From hosting business meetings to a night out on the town! Just great food! My wife loves the bananas foster! last time the service was bad! But we will give it another shot soon!
