My g/f and I went there for her first time. The owner was also the hostess. When I asked for a patio table, she said it was only for those who were having dinner. We said we were having dinner, but she didn t believe us. FInally, she escorted us to the patio, and insisted we sit at a table we didn t want. The table we wanted was in the sun, and even tho the chairs were very short for a very tall bistro type table, we were ok with being served dinner with the table being so tall. She argued that this table would not work, yet we were fine with it. Finally she gave in, but shook her head in disgust. It was a very awkward situation, and she made quite a scene over it all. I doubt I ll ever go back.
Nice service, good family hang out, quaint atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. It is very FAR from authentic polish food and lacks in taste and flavor. None of the polish food advertised as original was ever remotely close to what is served in Poland. The medium rare salmon that my husband ordered was excellent but even mashed potatoes, which I didn't believe one could destroy, were tasteless (needed at least salt and pepper). The chef has never been to Poland, so it is understandable that he does not know the flavors but he should spend time docking his food just so it does not taste bland (!!!) before it is sent out. The owners stand by the taste of the food and enjoy it as is. We gave the restaurant two chances two years apart and, unfortunately will not go there anymore.
The food was great, The pickle soup was tasty.
Although the pork chop was a little overcooked, but was good !
Shrimp was very good
Hamburger was well done and was good to the last bite.
Pork Tenderloin was wonderful
The waitress was too good at her job and deserved much praise.

A great find! So few restaurants of this type are left. We went on a Saturday and had been told it gets very crowded, so we went at 5:30. By the time we left it was full. Beautiful views of Deep Lake from the dining room and bar area. There' s also an outside deck area overlooking the lake. Cute, safe neighborhood. Plenty of choices and they all sounded good. You can get Polish food or regular American meals. Our table had breaded pork loin, marinated chicken breast, and a steak. The steak was not that great. I'd stick with the other stuff. Homemade mashed potatoes were the best side. Great sauerkraut and there was a red cabbage relish along with another vegetable relish. Salads and vegetables were good, and one of us had pickle soup which was a potato-type soup and we all shared. Good breads, too. No room for dessert, but we had ruled that out ahead of time, based on the review below! Haha. I will definitely go back and bring others!
what a treat! friendly people, music and great food. don't laugh, we go for the liver and onions, tender and not a bit of waste. if you like ethnic type restaurants this is your place. on the water with a great view. we have been there several times and have not been disappointed.
We've been to Reflections ten or more times and have never been disappointed. It's situated on bluff over Deep Lake in a old summer resort community where you'd never expect to find a decent restaurant. It's got a lot of history but the owners continue to improve the building which is being transitioned from a supper club atmospher into more of a ski resort look. The Polish food is their specialty so the Polish Platter is a requirement at your first visit. It's very busy on the weekends so there will a wait whether you have reservations or not.
