The Point is a great place to go the food is excellent and the waitressing service is fantastic. On the weekends the main area for waiting gets a little hectic. The young hostess tries to do something but is than overrun by the other hosts, its a little uncomfortable to watch. However, I really enjoyed the service once I was seated after a short wait i was greeted by a very friendly bus boy with coffee my food came out amazingly fast and the waitress and hostess came around many times picking up plates and refilling my husbands and my coffee. It was refreshing to go to such a homy restaurant like the Point. I will be back next weekend!
I MISS this place! I used to go here every Saturday, but moved out of state in 2004. They have the BEST biscuits and gravy and the BEST hashbrowns I've ever had (and I moved to a southern state, where one would assume the biscuits and gravy would be better, but NO!)!! The cheese blintzes are wonderful as well! In all the many times I went here (every weekend for YEARS), I was NEVER disappointed with either the food or service! If I get a chance to visit, I might just eat there every single day! :-)
My husband and I have been at The Point twice now. Cathy is such an awesome server! Be sure to get her for your server! Our first breakfast visit, I had the Greek Omelette. The second A.M. visit, I had the Spinach-Feta Omellete. We also tried the Apple Crepe and it was so dee-licious! A nice family restaurant for breakfast or lunch. They are only open till about 2:30 or 3pm. While The Point is primarily our stop for breakfast, we hope to eat there for lunch for more great times to come.
absolutly the best breakfasts in Lake County! Rivals Lou Mitchells in the city(with better hash browns)expect to wait on Saturday and Sunday mornings, but it is well worth it!Great service all the way down the line, there pancakes are like fine pastry!
I have recommended the Point to a lot of people, and some have actually called me from there table to tell me how great it is and that they regret not going sooner.
They renovated a couple of years ago now and so now the place looks great along with having great food and service. I only wish they were open more hours. Currently they are only open for breakfast and lunch.
