Half Moon Saloon, Gallatin Gateway

This place is amazing in every aspect!! Our children were able to play outdoors in their immense backyard while our meal was being prepared. As the plates of succulent BBQ ribs, steaks, salads, and wild game were brought to the table everyone's jaw fell open. The food was without a doubt the best in town and we have been traveling through that area for over 15 years. After dinner the entire family was able to enjoy a bonfire with a live musician playing guitar while we roasted marshmellows for s'mors. All of these great activities were just part of their personality and didn't even cost extra. This is a must see place for families or anyone else!! You have my word that you will not find a more friendly or accomodating restaurant anywhere!! And ask for Kyle or his best friend Carnie Greg when you get there!! These two guys rock!!

Very fitting to the surroundings - food was delicious and sitting at the big windows made the meal even more enjoyable. The scenery is just amazing!!! So relaxing, didn't want the evening to end!

Although the food was decent, the service was atrocious. You can't have kids waiting 40 minutes for a simple pasta to arrive. it makes for a difficult evening.

Quite simply the best food!!! Also, the wait staff is either the best or the worst depending on the night of your visit. The bar is large with pool tables and excellent scenery. They keep very wierd hours, meaning they are not open on random days and do not open til late. Also I plopped down a $400 deposit for a 25 person party res. and they messed up the reserved date. They thought it was earlier than we had agreed upon. They never called the contact number to see if we were coming, they just assumed they won a mini lottery i guess!!!! When we did show up at the time reserved months ago, and hashed out the dissagreement, they finally opened up the resturaunt and let us all enjoy ourselves. I will emphasize once again, all-in-all the food (esspescialy the biscuts) is outstanding.

We made reservations for a large party after eating dinner at the Half Moon one night and thoroughly enjoying ourselves. The restaurant got the date wrong and wasn't ready for our large party. They quickly made space for us and got our orders taken though. However, some of the tables waited over an hour to get their food, including one table with three small children. While the food is excellent, it is not worth waiting that long! All of which would have been forgivable had we not made reservations over a month in advance.
