Timberline Cafe, West Yellowstone

We had the Montana Stew in a bread bowl. Very good, even the bread. Kinda pricy like all of W. YS. Service friendly but only 1 waitress and she doubled for cashier and the place was crowded.

this is an awesome place to visit. The food is delicious and the town is gorgeous!!! We have vivited several times and the service and people are great. I love it!!! I highly recommend it to anyone who visits the area.

My family and I ate dinner at the Timberline on7/16/2009 because the desk clerk at our hotel told us about it. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were cooked with sour milk and the biscuits were stale. I ordered the 10 oz sirloin well done but when it was brought out it was barely cooked. I sent my steak back and it came back once again still rare. We were so disgusted we left 5 minutes after receiving our food. I told the cashier the food was terrible and she stated that she was sorry that I felt that way then asked me to pay. Now that i think about it I wish I would of just walked out without paying.

I would highly recommend the breakfast at this cafe! 4 of us from Maine had the best breakfast on our trip from Jackson Hole, WY to Kalispell, MT here. My mother-in-law is hard to please when it comes to restaurants, and loved everything. The biscuits and gravy were awesome, homemade. French toast was outstanding! Not a bad thing out of all of the items that the 4 of us had. Very good cinnamon roll with orange glaze! We kept referring to this place when we ate another meal, and nothing compared for breakfast. Skip the continental breakfast at your hotel and go pay for a great breakfast here!
