We ate diner here tonight, July 4th, 2012. My wife ordered a pizza and I ordered the pulled pork. When they brought my wife s order, the pizza had been burned and they had tried to scrape or pull the burned part off. My wife said she would not eat that, and I don t blame her. They made no attempt to offer anything else, so finally we got her a sandwich. They still charged us for 2 sandwiches, but I think they should have given my wife her dinner for free. I am pretty sure we will never eat there again.
This is our second visit to W. Yellowstone and Buckaroo Bill's. Both visits to the restaurant were great! The food was fresh and very good. I had the T-bone and it was cooked perfect and was very tender. The new covered wagon seating is very cozy and warm. There are several restaurants in W. Yellowstone, but Buckaroo Bill's is a must when you're hungry.
This establishment came recommended by locals. Menu looked good and looked to be a fun eatery, but we had far less than a pleasant experience there. They do note food takes longer as it's all 'cooked to order' on a slow BBQ. What they didn't mention was how terrible the service would be. Our waters were never refilled. Our server said she'd be back to refill after we asked, and instead forgot. We asked three times before it finally happened. They overcharged for kids meals (which were basically Costco pre-packaged foods) and when we brought it to the attention of the server we only got grief and a condescending tone. $72 for corn dogs, grilled cheese and ribs. Needless to say, no tip was left and I can't imagine recommending this place to anyone.
