First of all it was a bad trip. Bartenders were mean and wouldnt wait on us. The chef looked like a drug user. Iv had better steaks. The waitstaff were rude. Could of been better but no. Hotel was nice the staff were nice.
On other Yellowstone trips, we had stayed at the Best Western in Gardiner and had dinner at the Yellowstone Mine. We had been satisfied. This trip (two days ago), I was extrtemely disappointed in every aspect of the place except the decorations. But you can't eat decor! The service was 'way below par with little or no attention to our needs and verrry slow. I ordered a rib eye steak and got some strange cut the was ribbed with fatty gristle and very little edible beef. It was swimming in grease, probably having been fried rather than grilled. I say nevver never again! All others, good luck!
I had breakfast and dinner here as take out. The food is excellent and the place well themed decorated. Very easy access to the Best Western Mammoth hot springs. They are associated with the best western and you can charge your dinner to you room. The BW also gives you 10% discount coupons for breakfast. This is a happy Californian.
