Speedway Restaurant, Grand Forks

I LOVE THE SPEEDWAY!! I have a great time everytime! The staff is fun and friendly and the food is AMAZING! My husband loves the Sirloin steaks and my kids love the kids ribs! For me I am a fan of the Ribeye steak. The new burgers they have are also to die for! I don't know how they prepare there burgers but they are amazing! The HELL burger ROCKS!!

Speedway! Yum! I am from Fargo and they dont have one, so when I make it up to Grand Forks, I make a point to go to the speedway. Fantastic Food, Steaks are around $10.00, Prime rib is the best! all at a decent price and I like that is not a chain restaurant. Service has always been great. Once you get started eating, you cant stop! you gotta finish it all even though your full..you know what I am talking about, screw the to go box!

My family and I went to Speedway Restaurant tonight for dinner. My husband had the ribs and I had the steak and ribs combo. The steak was very small and there were only 4 ribs in the combo. I guess I expected more for the price. The kids meal was over priced as well for what my daughter got. The ribs were TERRIBLE. They were so hard and dry that I could hardly get through them with a steak knife and they CRUNCHED when I tried to chew them. I was unable to even eat them. The service was just as terrible and when I told the server about how bad the ribs were, she didn't seem like she wanted to do much about it and told me someone the night before said the same thing about the ribs. They tasted as if they over-cooked day old left-over ribs in the microwave. VERY BAD. She took only $2.25 off of my $14.99 meal and only $1.50 off of my husband's $9.99 meal, both of which we were unable to eat and enjoy. I feel as though we were totally screwed and will NOT be going back. We used to go there more often and the food was good but the service and food has gone DOWN HILL. The food is over priced for what you get and our overall experience was TERRIBLE. I will NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Awesome food and some of the best service out there. Every time I eat there I get my food right away and it is always prepared the way I ask. Everything on the menu is good but a few things really stand out. The prime rib is simply epic. So delicious and tender. The ribs are great, and they propably have the best pork chops in North Dakota. The prices are real fair too. For an appetizer get the top sirloin tidbits with the orange Speedway sauce. Call ahead to see if they are serving an item you are interested in because they only serve specific items on certain days of the week. The restaurant is also tricky to find if you are not from Grand Forks. It is tucked away next to some houses and apartment buildings off of any major roads so get good directions.
