Colonial House Restaurant and Bar, Rapid City

I thought the food was good and the price was normal. The service was very good and prompt. I would go again if I am in town again.

We were in the Black Hills of South Dakota for the 2009 Harley motorcycle rally and found one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at. It's family run which must account for the great food and service. It didn't to make any difference whether we ate breakfast, lunch or dinner the quality was first class. We were in Rapid City for 9 nine days. With the exception of one meal, we ate all of our meals at Colonial House. WOW *** what an experience. The breakfast items are outstanding. For lunch we had salad and soup *** you will never have a better bowl of chicken noodle soup. The grilled walleye is SUPERB!!!! EVERYONE at Colonial House made us feel welcome. They were friendly and gracious. COLONIAL HOUSE IS A MUST DESTINATION!!!! IF YOU MISS IT, YOU CERTAINLY WILL HAVE MISSED OUT ON A GREAT DINING EXPERIENCE.

BEST BREAKFAST IN 4 STATES! Get the French Toast! We brought our two little ones and they loved the food and atmosphere. Highly recommended for comfort food. We're from Texas, and the biscuits & gravy held up to our Southern standards.

If you like spicy asian this is a must try! The food is excellent, and affordable. But the star of the show was the service.... In a word... fabulous! We had 2 young girls with us and the wait staff went above and beyond to help us keep them both entertained. Their smiles never faltered, and they seemed to enjoy us being there.

Service has always been friendly and fast. Food is great! Never ever had a bad experience and I go here at least twice a month. Prices are normal, ambiance has charm. I would recommend the pastries for a breakfast treat, and any of their meals I've had them all. Good coffee too.
