Located near a major freeway, it has easy access from shopping areas and downtown. Linen-topped tables and booths make up the dining area. The menu features traditional Indian favorites, such as saag paneer and baigan bharta , along with a full array of breads, such as naan and roti . The pakoras with special green chutney is a must try appetizer. At the end of your feast, try washing it all down with a delicious mango lassi .

Don't ever be the last diners at this restaurant, unless you want to be treated disrespectfully‎ I used to love India Palace. Our last dining experience was very strange, because everything has always been good, but don't end up being the last diners left in this restaurant, unless you want the wait staff to turn on you. Going on break is far more important than customer service at India Palace. We went on a Saturday around 1:30 for the buffet and there was only one other table seated. We were not informed, when we were seated at a dirty table, that the buffet was not only sparsely stocked, but wouldn't be replenished. We were not be offered a menu to order off of in lieu of the buffet and our beverage order was not taken. At this point we should have just left, but we stayed, because we used to love going there. Bad move. A waiter approached the table and said they were going to close soon and asked us if we wanted our check, it was 2:00 and they close at 2:30. When we went to pay, we asked to speak to a manager and were denied by a very rude waiter that told us the manager would not care. He stood there glaring at us while we paid. I told them the service was awful and asked why they were treating us badly. He said they were closing and we showed up too late. I asked why they let us in and why the door was unlocked and he said, because they were still open. We told them we would not be coming back and the waiter said good, don't come back. Lesson is: don't show up too late by their standards, because you will be treated disrespectfully. I always thought too late was when the door was locked, but it's when they decide they don't want to uphold any level of proper customer service.

Their lunch buffet & service is good. But when we had, all non-veg dishes were chicken. They could give us other options too.

Not a great restaurant if you are really looking for authentic Indian food with varity of choices. Slow service and quality of food is not that great.

India Palace is my favorite Indian restaurant. In fact, my favorite restaurant, period. I get takeout from the Roseville location about once a week, and eat in about twice a month. The food is consistently excellent, and the service is friendly and attentive.

Enjoyable

Found this one by accident, but it was a happy accident! Have had quite a lot of Indian food the past 3 years and this was right up there on the list. The flat bread you get first was quite tasty and had more flavor than some that we've had other places, so we got a very good first impression. The food was good, served quickly and spiced right (the medium spice had some bite to it but wasn't too spicy to eat). We had the chicken kashmiri and the chicken tikka masala. Definitely worth a trip back!

Great Indian!
By ,
We go here about twice a month and have yet to be disappointed. We do a mixture of take out and eat in and the food works well both ways. The food is great, very flavorful. The medium spicy is just about right if you like some spice, the hot is not too hot if you are used to some spice. The appetizers are numerous and tasty. Beer and wine are available in limited quantities and are a nice addition to the spicyness of some of the dishes. The service is pretty good. In general they seem fairly attentive to drink levels, although it's somewhat dependent on the server. I've been to the lunch buffet once and it was pretty good considering it was a buffet. I would prefer to order from the menu as you can spice it up a bit, but on the whole the buffet is well rounded and tasteful. Overall, it is very recommended if you like Indian.

The lunch buffet is good, quick and cost effective. If you want to try a variety of indian dishes, this is a good option.

Yuk!

I went to the India Palace for the lunch buffet and had a hard time finding any food that was enjoyable at all. I thought it tasted terrible. Maybe I don't have an Indian palette? I wouldn't recommend it if you have a choice.
