Come for food that's "so good, so natural, so close to the earth," writes Citysearch.com, "that it doesn't need much augmentation." The Good Earth, however, receives plenty of adulation --- from critics impressed with our commitment to top ingredients, to a loyal clientele that make the Good Earth their first choice for hearty, healthy eating. Both locations offer a diverse menu ranging from comfort food classics to fiery curries. Yet it's not just the cooking that earns accolades... "Good things come in the attitude of the servers, who know the menu and do everything they can to enhance your dining experience; and the airy, pleasant feel of these spaces that were smoke-free long before it became PC." -Citysearch.com
OMG THIS PLACE IS FRCKING AWESOME!!!! If I had to compare it to something, I would say it is a mixture of Chipotle and Jesus. Overall, I had a very elegant dining experience, although the ambiance is mushy at most. I would definitely recommend the fish stick tator tot hotdish, it is to DIE FOR!!!! Also, the waitress named Shelly is a bombshell (that means she oozes of desire). lolz.
I've been eating at the Good Earth in Roseville ever since I could walk. I just love the casual dining experience, the friendly staff, and the wonderful food. I have noticed that over the years, the bread basket has gotten smaller, and quite disappointing, but that doesn't take away much from the experience.
I went here 3 times the first week I lived in the twin cities. They have a fresh and healthy menu, very courteous service, and pretty good pices. The ambiance leaves something to be desired but at least it is clean. I especially like the salmon burger, the artichoke dip, and the nice variety of ice teas. They are part of the Good Earth Tea company depending on who you ask!
I just went there for lunch today. I'd never been before. The ambiance is horrible. I thought that it looked like a Florida retirement home (light peach walls??) and my co-worker thought it looked like a truck stop. Overall, the food was just ok. I had the Planet burger - their vegetarian burger - and it was kind of mushy. Needless to say, I'm not going to be rushing back there anytime soon. If I do go back, I'll definitely order something else.
