Absolutely horrible. My husband and I have a cabin in the area and have been to the Calderwood in the past. The food has been acceptable in the past, and this time was almost uneatable. As a matter of fact, I did not eat my fish after one bite. I ordered the special, walleye almondine, and it was clear that they simply put a frozen walleye filet in a pan, sprinkled it with dried parsley and slivered almonds that weren't even toasted and threw it in a pan. Very fishy, borderline raw, and no flavor what so ever. The french onion soup was equally as bad. Onions were hard, soup was cold, with 1/2 slice of swiss cheese thrown on top that refused to melt. All four of us had the same soup and we all asked the server to heat it up. She took all of our crocks, and didn't know who they belonged to when she brough them back to the table. All were still cold. We were all so disappointed given the fact that there really isn't anywhere to go in the area for a good meal. Not to mention that it is very pricey. Up there with the high end restaurants in the Cities. Will definitely never go back.
