Thank goodness it isn't the Racy's it used to be. I can enjoy a great cup off coffee without burning my eyes with smoke. The building is beautiful and you can actually see this now that the cloud has lifted. I went in once before the ownership changes and walked right out. I go in almost every week now.
The soup and sandwiches are the best around.
This was a great place to go, one could go there, have coffee, enjoy the atmosphere, and engage in interesting conversation with just about anyone there. Now, you can't smoke there, the ambience has been lost (on me, at least), it just isn't the same Racy's it used to be.
I used to hang out at this place when I was in highschool. This coffee shop is full of interesting people and conversations. Not sure what it is like these days, but I have some wonderful memories of Racy D'Lene's.
