There aren't many options for food in this neck-of-the-woods because most of the restaurants that were worth going to have long since burned down or gone out of business. None-the-less, my family loves eating at the Larrabee Lodge each year when we're in that area for vacation. The restaurant was completely renovated a few years ago by the previous owners so it now has a charming, log cabin look with outdoor seating that overlooks Larrabee Lake (The building was formerly the Blue Diamond Pizza Restaurant, I think). While you're waiting for your dinner, take a few crackers down to the boat launch and feed the blue gill... they're quite fun to watch and the lake is beautiful.
My favorite entree by far is the personal sized taco pizza. The crust is excellent and I'm starting to drool just thinking about it! The menu has a decent variety, similar to what one might expect from a mid-level priced restaurant like Applebee's or the like.
If you're looking for a decent dining experience at a fair price( not cheap, but not expensive either), I'd highly recommend Larrabee Lodge. Heck, you'd have to drive pretty darn far in any direction to find something better!
