Dropped off the freeway for a late meal. Found this place, and it was just wonderful! We only wanted a small bite, then back on the road. We had the 3 appetizer combo and soup. The battered asparagus was out of this world. We had never seen this at any other spot before. We also had the crab stuffed mushrooms, excellent! I almost had to arm-wrestle my wife for the last one. The sausage platter had 4 different kinds of sausage and wonderful little potato pancakes. The chicken wild rice soup was homemade and very good. The staff was excellent, witty, and very attentive. The prices were very reasonable. We will stop back here on next time we come through town.
An amazing new menu! I haven't been here for a bit, but I just decided to take a buddy out to dinner after work. I loved the vibe I got, I had a real great server and we had a good time talking actually; also knows the menu very well! I wouldn't say it's expensive at all, the filet is but it's a filet and if you want a filet that means you want a nice cut of meat and you get what your pay for (I wouldn't want to get one and be disgusted, I'd rather pay 5-10 dollars more around 25 for a FANTASTIC one like sweetwaters). Also they had tons of affordable items like 10-12 dollars that were tempting! But I'm a steak man! GREAT PLACE gotta check it out!
By far the best food, and unbelievably the best prices I have seen in quite sometime! Not only are the waiting staff a utter delight! The managers show you great appreciation! They really care about you and it shows by how willing they are to accommadate for any concerns. Best cheese curds in town, fish, steak, everything!!! You need to experience this true Eau Claire landmark!
I rate this 5 stars! We had our rehearsal dinner at Sweetwaters on July 4th for our son and his new bride and the staff was amazing, the food exceptional, very accomodating, priced fairly and we would recommend this to anyone. We had the private banquet room in the back and we gave out drink tickets and they kept a running tally of the bar bill for us based on the drink tickets and when all was said and done and it was time to leave, we left happy and pleased. I would not hesitate to contact Sweetwaters to host a dinner gathering again!
Thank you again Sweetwaters for the lovely time!!
