Mission Grille, Sister Bay

Dinner at the Mission Grille was a great. My wife and I went here for our 25th anniversary. It was a beautiful evening and we sat outside on the patio next to the waterfall. I had the rack of lamb and my wife the halibut. They were both perfectly prepared. The service friendly and appropriate. At the end of the meal they gave us an awesome berry cobbler for our anniversary. Thank you Mission Grille!

We had plans for New Years, and had an hour to spare...saw there was a Jazz band. This sounded like a perfect time for a try...we called ahead to see if it was okay to stop in for a drink and appetizer at the bar. We are told that this is perfect, and available for this evening. We arrive, and the decor is beautiful. We are seated at the bar...which has only one other couple, and 2 bartenders (one of the bartenders was an owner). We are ignored. Hmm, did they not see us? 10 minutes later...ummm, we'd like to order a glass of wine and a martini please...hello, anyone? No option for ordering an appetizer, apparantly the young lady who took our call was mistaken. I can deal with that, it's New Years...they have a special menu. Okay... So, we settle in...and visit. About 1/2 an hour later, our drinks have been sitting empty, no service. As one bartender videos the jazz band on his camcorder, the other leans against the back of the bar. After an additional 15 minutes of waiting...yeah...you guessed it...nothing. We left. Will not return. There are many other fine establishments in Door County that understand customer service.
