This place is awful, the food was cold when it caim out mainly the fries, the customer service was awful as well. We also sat out side the kitchen door and heard alot of cussing and swearing which as a customer we don't need to hear about the problems of the employees. This place needs better management i mean really i can't beleive this place has last as long as it did. i would not suggest eating here unless you like awful food and bad service from both the owners as well as the employees.
I wanted to have lunch here on a Sunday (chicken), so I went online to find out when they are open and to look at the menu. I can't find anything? So I called expecting to get a recording telling me their hours of operation. Nope all it did was ring and ring and ring. How am I suppose to know when they are serving and what? Need to update their website and get a answering machine. I have not decided if I'm going their for lunch or someplace else.
Stumbled upon this place last night - what a wonderful surprise. Never have been a fan of chicken before but the chicken I had last night was fantastic. generous portions at reasonable prices. Will 100% come back on next trip thru the area. Kid friendly.
My family and I are new to The Redwood Inn, we discovered this restaurant in the Summer '09 and we have been going there ever since. They offer GREAT prices and the food is DELICIOUS! Unfortunately, the wait can be a little long due to the restaurant being so popular. The wait is well worth the wait.... My mouth is watering just thinking about the fried chicken!! Try it!
The Redwood Inn is by far the best place in Green Bay for food at great prices. I've eaten most all of their menu items and have enjoyed them all and have never gone away hungry. They are open before noon on Fridays. So if you can, beat the evening wait. There is a reason so many people go there. John the owner is the best.
If your a Packers fan, the Redwood Inn is a good place to go. Lots of Packer stuff to look at. They sometimes have past players signings. This place is great.
Horrible ownership. Food is OKAY, nothing to brag about. Pretty pricey! Picked up a to go order and it was cold and soggy. Very politely asked for fresh one or money back and owner was very rude/nasty and gave me money back and asked for me not to return to his restaurant! I told him I would spread the word...so here I am!
We dined here once. We did not care for the two hour wait to be seated. Felt that the bar wanted to make more money off of us before eating.
Perch was great but did not care for the squeeze out of the bottle tartar sauce. Seemed a little unsanitary.
Still think Farr's Grove is the all around best value for fish Friday.
Been going here for 20 years now and still have yet to find a fish fry as good. The Perch is always great! (my favorite)...the double is HUGE and great value. The Walleye and Frog legs are also excellent. The Frog legs are almost as big as chicken legs. I have never tried but have heard good things about the smelt as well. On nights where you don't want seafood, the chicken and pork chops are great. Thursdays are the Pork Chop special, 2 pork chops, 2 baked potatoes, bread, salad, and a grasshopper for dessert. The place is almost always packed so if you want to beat the rush, get their before 6 or after 8. Otherwise you can enjoy nice stiff drinks at the bar. It is simply my favorite place to go in town.
