This is one of the first places my wife and I ate after we moved to Sturgeon Bay 7 years ago. The food has been consistent every time we've been there. The staff is great and the food is wonderful, not over-seasoned or over-sauced (like California cuisine tends to be). This is by far our favorite place to eat in Door County. Our usual tradition is to walk down to Dal Santos during our frequent winter snow storms. Even if we're the only table of the night we still get the same great food and the same wonderful service as we do when they are busy.
This pictures do not do this place justice, it is beatiful! These were taken off thier website. We sat at the famous table 1 by the window and it was trully romantic. The food awesome and our server, although quite busy, attended to our needs and then some. We told her it was our anniversary and she made it very special for us by recommending a wine to go with our meal and explaining how some of the dishes were made and the ingredients as I am allergic to alot of things. I left reviews of this restaurant on other sites as we can't recommend it enough. The best kept secret in Door County was how it was recommended to us by another couple we met while vacationing in DC. Trully fantastic!
My husband and I were visiting Door County for a quiet getaway for the two of us over his birthday weekend and I wanted to pick a good place for dinner. We had never been in the area and were completely in the dark about good restaurants. I picked this place from their website. It was a marvelous experience. The food was wonderful and the staff was very hospitable. The atmosphere was quiet and romantic. We loved it. I would definitely reccommend it to anyone in the area.
We are totally entranced by this Restaurant. The food was wonderful, plentiful and very authentic Mediterranean. Our evening spent at Dalsantos was definately the highlight of our trip to Door County. The atmosphere was comfortable and romantic although I would be at ease having our children there as well. We will be back. Oh yes and not to forget the ecclectic art work on the walls of the restaurant from local artists. Beautiful place!
