First time at Cotton Patch , Drove 20 miles had heard a year ago they had a great Salad bar Wrong didn t know it had changed but hey give it a shot, Everyone was friendly but the menu is not the normal, Can t get a baked potato? Not in Season ? HUH? Never heard of the salad dressings, The bread was stale dried out, But the prime rib was very good, Its different but the view is nice Not somewhere I would drive back too, Glad I tried once
iI was very disappointed with everything on my last visit. The food and drinks were over priced and the owner was like a walking commercial for the new oil section. We went in to eat, and enjoy a night out. She was practically shoving this stuff down our throats. We used to love the salad bar but now you get a few bites of salad with Guess What? Oil. Not even a choice of dressing. The food was below average. Don't get me wrong, I do not mind paying more for a meal in a supper club, but make it taste like it is worth it. We used to go in there a few years ago when Jan was managing it and they had good food, great wait staff, and good atmosphere, which sorry to say has all disappeared. We will not be going back. Three strikes and you are out of our restaurant list. If I wanna see animals I will go to a zoo. If I want a good meal I will go to Classics.
We arrived 25 minutes before closing and still were treated royally form the time we walked in and were greeted at the door, till the time we departed.
Our waitress, I believe her name was Jacque, never rushed us, even though we came so late.
We ordered scallops and the tuna steak, both were excellent!
The bartender, James, was also friendly, and made a great Lemon Drop.
Karen, the owner was very friendly, and easy to talk with. She joined us at our table for an after dinner drink(on the house).
We are just common folk, dressed very casual, but were made to feel like we were somebody special.
We loved everything about it, great staff, wonderful food, comfortable atmosphere, all at a reasonable price, we will be back!
The oilery located inside the restaurant, has a huge selection of oils and balsamic's to choose from. Barb was very helpful, with samples, to make our choices easier.
I have been to the Cotton Patch twice this spring and really enjoyed myself. Both meals were very good and the atmoshere is great. I love the addition of the olive oil and balsamic vinegar bar. I will definitely bring my family back!!! If you haven't been there in a while, its worth another try.
We went to Cotton Patch last weekend and the prices are way to high for the area. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if the portions we good. I order the tenderlion medallions and I got about 5 bites of tenderlion. My husband wanted the ribs and the wait staff said that those won't be done until 645pm. What the heck on a Sat night and they don't have the ribs done? Will not go back! Way tooooo expensive for what you get!
Swans were good, waitstaff was good, food and entertainment were just ok.
We ordered tuna and the shrimp and scallop pasta. Neither one was anything to write home about.
The dining room was nice although definitely more of a joint that the grandparents will dig.
If you like a pleasant atmosphere, with below average food, and a view of some local farm animals, then by all means go for it. If you actually enjoy good food, then don't worry about dropping in.
The Cotton Patch has just gotten better and better over the last several years. Every time we go it seems that owner Karen Evenson adds some little touch that adds to the ambience and seems just right for this property. The wait staff is really good and after a few bumps in the beginning after changing ownership, proper training of the staff has really made for a professional experience. Incredibly enough for this part of the world they even know how to properly pour wine now.
