Shipwrecked Brew Pub & Rstrnt, Egg Harbor

This restaurant tops my list of 'WORST PLACES TO VISIT' and I'd strongly recommended you go elsewhere. My finance and I had stayed in the area at a bed and breakfast one chill October and decided to try this place for lunch. The service was (memorably) the worst I have ever experienced, it took 10 minutes to get seated in a practically empty lounge, another 15 minutes before the cranky server showed up to take a drink order and give menus (meanwhile several other customers entering after us were seated, ordered and starting to receive their food). Another 15 minutes goes by before drinks arrive and after ordering our meals we were in for another 20 minute (server nowhere to be found) wait until (part of) the food arrived and I was told that they 'Eighty-sixted' the chili bowl that I ordered because they were out of stock. My fiance's house salad was actually brown and wilted and the only edible thing on the table was your average run-of-the-mill pre-frozen mozzarella logs so I decided in disgust to not order anything else. More time goes by and I spotted other customers receiving the 'out of stock' chili bowls; so I catch our server and point this out to her. Apparently the manager had taken note and actually had some more bread bowls defrosted but my order was paid no mind. I spoke to the server regarding our level of frustration over the long wait, food quality and ridiculous run-around we were getting and suggested they make it right by modifying our bill. ...they agreed to remove the sodas....what is that, a $3 savings for me and pennies of cost to the establishment? Having had to put up with this type of service and all the while being addressed multiple times as 'young man' by this near-retirement age waitress left me dumbfounded. I decided to write an extensive 'how to treat your customers' note on my paper place-mat and we left a 5 cent tip. Honestly, I think we all would have been better off had I just left without paying; as it probably would have made more of an impact...but I can see from some other reviews here the place hasn't changed.

We visited this restaurant 3 weeks ago. The food and the service were good but there was nothing exceptional about the menu. The best feature was the ambience on a sunny day since it offers outside dining.

My family have been traveling to Door County for 20 years now. This place has terrible food. I doubt any of it was made at the restaurant. I think they just ran across the street to the grocery store, bought frozen, pre-made foods, and then just fried it all up. If you like frozen dinner type food, or overly processed food, this is the place for you.

Update: Went here during a day trip to Door County in Aug. 2008. Love the food (had the wrap again) and my boyfriend got the beer sampler-fun to try all the varieties! However...the staff doesn't pay enough attention to it's guests. I can't eat a wrap without a container of Ranch dressing to dip it in. It took 15 min to flag someone down to get me Ranch! I sat there for 15 min watching my bf eat while my tummy grumbled! they need to chat less and serve their customers more! My boyfriend and I had wraps when we went here Memorial Day weekend 2007 and they were delish!! We also had beer which of course was also tasty!! :)
