Artisan breads, fabulous cinnamon goodies...and the best scones EVER!! Plus this fabulous lady is a delight to visit with....I LOVE this bakery. What a wonderful, eclectic place for a small town....plus she comes to the farmer's market in Barron all summer long :)
I had recently read some good things about this place so when it came time for my daughter's birthday we went there and had a cake ordered. We had asked for a cake with Mickey Mouse on it because my daughter is in love with him. When it was picked up the cake it had a bunch of flowers on it and a Mickey candle. That was it. I could have gone to a store and bought a Mickey candle. I figured the cake better be really good for what I paid. Turns out it wasn't. It was the worst cake ever. It was heavy(almost like a pound cake) and extremly dry. No one ate more than a few bites before they threw it out. WHAT A WASTE!!! I will never order anything from there EVER again!!!
I never thought we'd have bakery in town of this quality!
Very friendly and the baked goods are out of this world: if anyone can find a better scone I'd like to know where.
If you haven't been there you don't know what you're missing!
What a delight to see a female business owner following her dreams. Not your typical small town bakery. Here your options are scones, muffins turnovers and bars (with an occasional croissant and petite four). I for one don't miss the overpowering bismarck or glazed doughnut holes. If you need some cream line organic milk to go with that chocolate orange scone, they have it. Don't forget to sit and chat with your proprietoress about her new expansion to the metro (Kowalski's stores) with her made from scratch scones. Delightful!
