I ve gone to Log Cabin at least a few times in the last nine years and I ll say that I enjoyed it every time. Just walking into the restaurant will leave you at a loss for words. The staff does a wonderful job of making sure you get what you ordered in a short time (depends on the time of day). As for the noise level and prices, I m not going to complain the noise level and/or prices about since times change - along with the costs of food and so forth. The desserts, especially the pies are worth trying or even buying for a special occasion (which I ve done). I strongly recommend Log Cabin to friends or relatives.
My husband and I were just there for breakfast after a weekend getaway. Food was awesome, maybe a bit pricey ($7.99) for breakfasts but it fed us for 2 meals. The pie and fresh breads are awesome. We bought some to take home with us.
The food is acceptable and the service is average/good, but I still recommend this restaurant to anyone going to Baraboo because the pie is phenomenal!!!
I wouldn't go there for a date or anything you want to be intimate or elegant, but it's a great place to stop after a day of hiking at Devil's Lake. Just be sure to save room for dessert, because you'll definitely want some pie!
living in baraboo log cabin is not my first choice.
they cranked their prices way up, poor soup choices. seem to to have the same soups for weeks at a time.
when they are busy it is so noisey you can't here your self think
it used to be the locals choice, but not no more
