Very nasty pizza. Don't waste your money, just go for another choice if you can find a good one, because in Wisconsin dells there is no good restaurants they all are bad......

Sarento's is basically a restaurant that is part of the Wilderness Resort properties. It was a very busy Friday night. I had the NY strip, my wife had the veal, my daughter had the linguini, and her friend had a vegetable pizza. Overall, the food was adequate, but the service was very good. In fact, I was very pleased that even when the place was packed, that the place was very organized. The other thing I did like was that if you are staying at the Wilderness Hotel or Resort, they have a shuttle that will take you to the restaurant and back free of charge.

Greasy-crusted pizza
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/15/09
We were staying at the Wilderness and ordered pizza from Sarento's. With a fridge in the room, we ordered a large pizza, about $20, and also a 2 liter of soda and some breadsticks. The breadsticks were large and good. Unfortunately, the soda wasn't chilled (and what's the point in paying $3.50 for a 2 liter if it isn't going to be chilled), and the pizza was soggy. Greasy-soggy crust, which isn't really all that good. The pizza itself would probably have rated a little below average even without that flaw. On top of it, the delivery guy gave us some trouble about accepting a credit card, even though we had been told over the phone that they would be able to accept it at the door. On the plus side? 40 minute delivery time, even though it was dinnertime, and all the indoor waterparks were closing, so I can't imagine how they're not swamped out to an hour or 90 minutes. I still can't give them good marks, though, pizza is too easy to do right. We'll order from somewhere else next time.

The food filled a niche (not overly expensive, and not over-processed chain-Italian style) nicely and the atmosphere was warm. It was one of the few places in the area we've been to (we're locals) that wasn't overrun by screaming children. (We have had meals at much more expensive places here ruined by whiny children who should have been in bed much earlier.) The service at Sarento's was lukewarm at best. We split a meal, not for mercenary reasons, but since restaurant food portions have become insanely oversized. We each had a glass of wine, split an appetizer, an entree ($2 split fee...most places actually SPLIT the entree for you - Sarento's did not), and a dessert. The waitress was clearly annoyed with our choice to split a meal and her service (or less than enthusiastic demeanor) showed as much. Our tip showed OUR annoyance. It was my birthday, and I was looking to overtip and make some server's day. So much for that idea. We still tipped 17%, but had wanted to give much more.
