Amazing! Food and service is great. I cannot say enough about this place. We go to the Dells just to have food here. Try the chocolate cake.......to die for!

best vegan food in the world. its no wonder travelers from across the world flock to the cheese factory restuarant everything is either vegetarian or vegan. if your vegan just ask for the green menu. everyone is so happy and smiley and friendly go back as often as possible

GreatPlace to eat!

This is a great place to eat, loved every bite. You need to come hungry. Quaint little farmhouse style cafe. They have a very tasty breakfast and a lot of vegetarian choices, even a veggie sausage choice. They have beautiful hand painted wall murals, and such a relaxed atmosphere. The price were fair and the service was pleasant.

The Cheese Factory is our #1 "must do" in the Dells. The food and desserts are amazing. The Cheese Factory has a diverse menu of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free items. Many cuisines like Mexican, French and Indian are represented. My favorites are the Chevre Crepes and Dheli Delight dinners. The Could 9 dessert - chocolate cake enveloped in white chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce - can't be missed. Sandwiches range between $6 - $8 and dinners between $12 - $16. Prices are close to those at chain restaurants but you get much better food for the money. You can tell everything at The Cheese Factory is handmade and fresh. Drinks from the classic soda fountain are made to order. The service and quality is always great at The Cheese Factory, I can't say enough good things about it. Expand your horizons, eat local and give The Cheese Factory a try.

Hands down the best restaurant in the Dells. Locals tend to shy away because of the vegetarian fare and lack of alcohol, but from a true-blue Sconnie who loves beer, brats and cheese, trust me when I say you won't even miss them, the food is so good here. I've been here many times over the years and can't say I've ever had a bad meal. Appetizers, entrees, deserts and even beverages are all unique and all fantastic. A previous reviewer wrote that the service wasn't great - I can see why they may think that as many of the staff are foreign and may not speak English well. But that doesn't stop them from trying and if you get any of the staff to talking, they will talk to you forever... And once you've been there a couple times, they greet you like old friends every time.

Excellent Food in Wisconsin Dells

I have been wanting to go to this restaurant for sometime now. It was a vegetarian/vegan paradise. The food is healthy, the variety extensive and the taste is incredible. I had a spinach ravioli stuffed with asparagus with a blue cheese sauce including walnuts and cranberries. It was heaven. I followed with their large chocolate cake! The only thing I thought was lacking was the service. The most attentive employee was a delightful woman bussing tables. Our server approached our table maybe 3 times, brought the bill without asking about dessert (mortal sin) then lied about my husband saying we were not having any. She never brought my coffee and never said thank you. The cashier was too worried about greeting his friends at the door once again never saying thank you. I would go back again because the food is out of this world. This is one attraction in the Dells you do not want to miss. Kudos to the chef, thumbs down to the service.

This is GREAT food

We stumbled on this restaurant because we wanted to get away from the lodge we were staying at for a bit. It is splendid. I am still dreaming about the food. The children's plates were not typical fare. My son loves fruit and had a fruit plate. He was very happy. We tried the Rattlesnake tofu appetizer....most excellent. Normally we don't eat dessert. Since it was my son's birthday, we splurged and shared 2 slices of cake. I am still dreaming about. My husband bought the cookbook and we are hoping to recreate our experience at home. EAT HERE!! I can't say enough. The staff is friendly. The food is excellent. I wish it were closer. It would be my favorite restaurant.

Vegetarian food in the Dells?? You BET!!!!!!!!!!!

On a family vacation to Wisconsin Dells, I dreaded the thought of having to eat bad "family-style food" at some "greasy spoon." Much to my surprise, the Cheese Factory Restaraunt solved this problem: great vegetarian food (and some vegan items) at a great price in a sort-of 50's-ish diner setting--whodathunkit? The entres were delicious, with fast courteous service from our waitress. We ordered drinks from their soda bar, which included "Green River" and fruit smoothies (!!) among other items (incl. coffee drinks). A free jukebox played Broadway standards, traditional vocallist songs/standards and some basic 70's "pop" tunes in a family-friendly (and healthy, might I add) setting. My Indian-style entre was delightfully spicy while our Lasagna entre was absolutely delicious! We had hummus appetizers and flan for dessert. Portions were fine for my huge appetite after a day of fun at Noah's Ark-I even had a bit of my entre left-over for
