Delicious! I eat lunch here at least once a week! I would recommend the Akin's plate- you can get it with lamb or chicken. Also, be sure to get a cup of their Arabic tea, it's wonderful! The restaurant has a great atmosphere and you'll be sure to love it too!

Med. Cafe is great for grabbing some good food on State Street. It is good eating and really quick. I highly recommend the hummus! Also in a great location!

My favorite restaurant in Madison; I'm there at least once a week. The hummus is the best I've ever had, get some with pita bread for under $3. The sandwiches are excellent, $4 spent here will get you a healthier and tastier lunch than you'd get at McDonald's. The chicken apricot pie, spinach pie, and other entrees are superb and reasonably priced. Whether you order soup or an entree they bring it out to your table within 5 minutes. It's generally busy all day, but you can always find a place to sit. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating, especially to regulars. Grab a sandwich here and you won't go back to McDonald's for lunch! FYI - it's cash only (no checks or cards)

A great mediterranean cafe for a fast but very tasty ethnic meal! Food served instantly, but also tables available for dining in. Excellent prices, ideal for college students!

This is the best Mediterranean food around. The prices are incredibly low and the food is consistently delicious.Entrees such as schwarma or borek are served with a fresh salad and rice. The price is under $7. The setting is rustic but comfortable. You order at the counter and your food comes before your butt hits the seat. I love the tea- very strong and sweet. Refills for $.35. Conveniently located right by the university on State St.

I highly recommend the Mediterranean Cafe. They have daily specials which are very good, as well as a few traditional Mediterranean standbys on the menu. The kibby special is always good, and i have also enjoyed their sampler plate and Falafel pita sandwiches. i also like the fact that the daily specials come with a small Greek salad. Overall the food is relatively healthy for eating out, and most meals are about $6 (tax included). one down side is that they are not air conditioned, so when it is hot out, it is really uncomfortable to eat there- but they do offer take out!
