Fireside, Fort Atkinson

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! Just returned from the Fireside Christmas show. Excellent food and great show. I had the ribeye, my wife had the sea bass and the kids enjoyed the youth meal. The ribeye was perfect and is hands down better than any other I have tasted. Service was great, prompt and friendly. We also attended 7 Brides for 7 Brothers last month. Their shows always have top notch talent and overall much better than the theatres in Milwaukee and Madison and it is always family friendly. We will be back soon for 9 to 5!

I was there for Annie and it was decent, with the buffet. That experience was borderline too expensive. I recently went for Seven brides on a Saturday night. Awful. Just awful. Given the price, the food was atrocious. I felt like I was at a Friday Night Fish Fry. My grandmother has nicer place settings AND SHE IS SENIAL! YOU CAN GET MUCH BETTER VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE! Go to state street in Madison and then an actual broadway performance at the Overture. You'll spend the same and it will be WAYYYYAYYYYYYYYYYAYYYYYYYYYYYY better.

Went to Fireside for both Hairspray back in September and just recently for Annie. The place is amazing. The food is great, the shows are fabulous and the service is always wonderful. I can bring my parents, I can bring my kids, or go out for a night out with my husband. You can't beat it and the price is great considering your meal is included!

I went to the Fireside for the first time in my life. It was great the service and food was excellent. We took my mother in law for her birthday. After dinner we seen Annie. The family all loved it. My 11 year old thought it was great also. We will be going again in due time. The establishment was very clean. Will be telling all my friends and family to go and check the Fireside out.

ANNIE! is outstanding! WHAT a talented cast! Very enteraining show starts with a great meal! The children actors are fabulous singers and dancers, the adults in the cast are talented professionals! And a real Sandy dog in the show too!

We just saw the Christmas play called THE CHILD and I have never been more disappointed in my life! We were so looking forward to going , we spent $300 on tickets for four of us and all I can say is that it was a waste of money. I cannot really even say this was a "play", it was a band that played a song after the man speaking to represent Joseph told his story. This totally lacked imagination, was not like any other play I have gone to at the Fireside, the songs that were performed prior to the show itself were moderate to say the least, there were NO costumes, NO props, NO scenery. Just a band playing and singing , no climax, no thrill , no goosebumps. In my opinion, this was a real waste of our time and money and I would not recommend it nor would I waste my money and attend again. Again, this is just my opinion but I heard many people around us say the same thing. One woman said it best as we were leaving: " I want a refund because I slept through almost the whole thing." There you have it.

I was fortunate enough to do a show here, and so I have a good idea about what goes on behind the scenes. The Producer/Director is simply wonderful, and cares very much about putting on a great show. I loved doing the show I did, and I know this translates into a good show for the audience.

The person that wrote the Fireside was terrible, has really never been to any New York Plays. I myself have been to many and the Fireside men and women do extraordinary well. I have worked at many New York theaters training these actors. This person that had that not to bright comment, should try doing what these people do. The Fireside makes a terrific gift, for any one that would like to get away for a relaxing evening and dinner. The food is always different and the employee are very friendly. Put your self in the shoes of the fireside players or staff and see just how well you would do!!!!! Look how long this theater has lasted, must be doing something RIGHT !!!!!! Carol

Certainly more expensive than other fish frys in the area (plus it is not all-u-can-eat) but the quality is good and the atmosphere is probably the nicest in the area.

I reviewed this more thoroughly elsewhere, but just to restate: Pros: Energetic, professional theater production. Every seat in the theater is a good seat. Cons: Ridiculously bad food, ridiculously bad food. Did I say ridiculously bad food? The Bottom Line: The punishment for seeing a great show here is being forced to eat the terrible food.
