Our family was in Waukesha looking for a different place to eat in and we pulled into Casa Del Rio. Walking through the place my family and I thought it looked like a fun place, but once we sat down and noticed that sauce seemed to be smeared on everything it got to be kind of disgusting. In fact, I jokingly told my kids that I could find 5 items at our table smeared with something and proceeded to find 3 immediately - the vase had a green thing smeared on it, the salt shaker had red smeared on it, and the paper advertising thing on the table had a long runny looking dried up thing on it too. While that was only 3 items - once the waiter brought our drinks - immediately the count went up as several of the glasses also had smeared items stuck on them. It was almost like we didn't even have to order - there was dried smeared food everywhere. It got to be a joke, so we decided to stay and see what else would happen. We sat next to a large TV that I think was new - in 1995. I thought it was projecting in 3d because of all the ghost images, but the ghosts were in yellow and blue - go Brewers! It was a very dark picture and not in HD - once I thought I was watching a double play but the ball turned out to be one of the numerous fly's that kept buzzing our table. The chips were free - but stale. My wife's margarita was coarse and tasted like a slushy. My chimi changas were fine, but my rice was crunchy. My kids had the taco meals that were dripping grease out the back end. Our sodas were fine, and the salsa was good. Our total bill for 4 people was $47 - which seems extremely high for the meal. Our waiter was great though, so when management read this review, don't blame him. Muy malo, no come aqui.

One of my favorite restaurants. Good food, value, and well-run. I just wish they'd make the Caldo de Cameron I love so much at La Fuente, Milwaukee.

Cozy, warm friendly with the Best Chicken Nachos in the City YMMMMM!!. (they use lots of real cheese, not the whiz stuff!!) The breakfast buffet on Sundays is a bargain for the family at only $8.75 all you can eat, for adults. The restaurant is clean, and the service friendly and oh yes, there is Kareoke every other Saturday.

After moving here to Waukesha a couple years ago we've been looking for restaurants we enjoy in the area. Casa Del Rio is probably our favorite mexican restaurant around. The prices are decent and you get a good amount of food. We've gone back several times and always enjoy ourselves.

This place is horrible! Terrible customer service. Deceitful advertising. I tried to use a coupon for buy one get one free margarita and I was told it was only to be used for one person...of course after I already ordered it. We tried to pay for our drinks at the bar and they wouldn't let us and gave us our bar bill at the table. When we tried to use our entertainment coupon for buy one/get one free lunch, we were told we couldn't use it! Needless to say...we left w/o ordering. There were only 3 other tables being used...vacant restaurant at peak lunch hour. I can see why.

Great Food Great Service Nice Walls
By Joe, 10/14/05
As new residents to Milwaukee, we have been looking for a great Mexican restaurant to replace our little get away back in Colorado Springs. Our experience with the Casa was beyond our expectations after visiting a hand full of other restaurants in the Milwaukee area that had received high reviews in local publications. The service was prompt, the food was great and the ambiance was delightful. We marked this family owned restaurant as the last place we ate before we left town to return to Colorado to get married. Now we eat at the Casa at least once a month. We are also slowly working our way through the extensive margarita menu which will take a while due to their extensive tequila collection. Who knew there were so many different types of tequila? This is definitely one of the more underrated eateries in the area.
