Location great, food bad! Extremely salty chicken enchiladas, watery Long Island Ice Tea. Would not recommend. With all the authentic mexican places in Milwaukee this place doesnt even come close. Long wait.
Would not recommend, and pricey for what you get. GET RID OF THE SALT!
I never forget the scenic river, where the Rock Bottom is located. You will enjoy this place during summer. Outdoor seating traveling by boat all adds special flavor to this restaurant. The food and beer was pretty good. Besides having their own collection of beers they have original seafood salad and sandwiches.
It was our first visit to Rock Bottom Restaurant Milwaukee and we were really surprised to see how nice the ambiance was, specially the riverwalk. The location is really great due to its river walk patio. We went there on New Year’s weekend and had a gala time there. Since it was so cold outside we could not get the real joy of sitting by the riverside enjoying the ambiance. We spent long time in the patio area by the riverside. It is a nice place to hang out and enjoy happy hour with your friends. The Rock Bottom is superb, one of the best restaurant experiences we have ever had.
The Naughty Scott beer at Rock Bottom was amazing. But more interesting thing was the river walk patio. The location is perfect and the overall place and ambience really impressed me. If you are planning to spend some time with your spouse in a summer evening then this is the right spot. Not only the location but the food they served specially the Margherita Pizza was awesome. I was so impressed that I’m planning on making the trip with my family soon.
If you are looking for Patio Dining experience then Rock Bottom is the right place for you. We were there for a summer evening, enjoyed the food while seating next to the river side on a patio seating area. We had a full course meal starting with tuna appetizer, which was just great. We had great service which was perfect for our large group. We are planning to visit again for a similar experience near the river side.
Very disappointed-TWICE! If this place wasn't right next to the Palace Theater and along the river downtown, it wouldn't do half the business it does. Their food is overpriced and it sucks. My $13 salad had cold PINK chicken on it and my boyfriends $10 chicken sandwich was a small piece of gristle and fat. The time before that I paid $9 for a mixed drink that tasted like pure sugar with no alcohol in it. The service is slow and they are disorganized. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because their beer is pretty good but I would NEVER eat here again. Sobelman's on St. Paul has the best burger in town, good draft beers and it's cheap.
4 of us went on a Saturday night. We made reservations, which was the smart thing to do. If we hadn't made reservations, it would have been over an hour wait. The food is very reasonably priced and was delicious! The Asiago artichoke and crab dip was awesome. Chicken fried chicken, almond crusted chicken, and German mac and cheese were all great. I had the Brewer's Club was pretty good but greasy, but fries weren't that good. The beer is good, and priced well, but the mixed drinks were TOTAL SCAMS! That's why I'm giving the restaurant 3 stars. I ordered 2 cosmos at $8.95/piece ad they came HALF-FULL. My friend ordered a mojito ($8.95) and it was all ice with a tiny amount of alcohol. There's nothing I hate more than a place that scams you on your drinks. If you want to park in their parking lot on the weekend, you have to pay $10, which sucks, but it is what it is. The service was OK. Nothing special, but they were really busy. Overall, I'd definitly go back.
this place sucks, and is occupying a great place on the river, what a waste. Staff feels like its just there to make money, I didnt get the feel that it was clean at all. The place just feels like its only in business because of the location and the fact that its a chain otherwise it would fail forsure.
0 stars for rock bottom
Overall; I would not go back or recommend this establishment.
Everyone ordered 1 meal, a drink, and about half the table ordered dessert (no apps). 2 hours 45 min total (have to say again 40 min wait for bill)
The food was Ok & the service was OK (no Better). But when it came time for the bill; we waited 40 minuets for our bill. This was after we asked for it on 3 different occasions. We were told that the wait was because they were busy, all I can say is if they call the night we were there busy then an average night would be on a night where they were closed I guess.
When dinner was over the wait staff changed moods. Again they were OK durning ordering. But once we stopped spending Money......No more Mr. Nice waitstaff. They turned rude and ignored us on repeated times past the table. It took people raising there voice in frustration to get their attention.
Another gaff was they screwed up our order and told us we would be comped for the meal for the mistake. Wrong! - we were charged for the meal and given a no charge on the dessert.
I was gonna give it 2 stars for the food, but the service was so bad its actually should be zero stars!
