Elsa's on the Park, Milwaukee

Don t eat here!!! They don t like African-Americans and we bring them much buisness. This is just the start of our boycott. and dont go to Kopp s either because they own that.

There was a uproar at Elsa s On about Aug 9th 2012 that the owner Carl s girlfriend said some racist remarks to where customers and the cooks walked out who were African-American. Carl stood there and let it happen. The news is keeping it quite to keep their business going but it is being talked about in Milwaukee which is one of the most segregated cities in the country. Won t eat their gain. Because of African-Americans business would never thrive without our money remember that people. We love good food and if you treat us bad we won t spend another dime at your business!!!

I love the atmosphere here. It has beautiful interior. It is totally chic. Serves is always good and the menu is fantastic. I love there burgers.

I love Elsa's. Ive spent my birthday there and many other occasions...The WINGS are to die for... and The sandwiches...LOL...WHEW... not to mention the drinks...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We stayed in downtown Milw for a weekend and Elsa's was recommended. We are so glad we tried this place. It was GREAT. Really good burgers. You expect to pay more than you do at Kopps, it's alot better food and atmosphere. Generous portions and friendly people. It's now one of our favorite places.

go for the monday night chicken menu. like elsa's burgers, the sandwiches are large, juicy, and moist. i ate the buffalo chicken salad that was the perfect amount of spicy and had dinner for another night, too. the food, like the restaurant's decor, is simple and satisfying...sophisticated without being too obvious or trying too hard. elsa's is my favorite place in milwaukee to remember the lost art of enjoying your food and drink, company, and surroundings.

Trendy looks, great locations, as long as you don't mind the parking problems. I went there for lunch one afternoon, expecting good things from what I have heard about the place. The service was good, the waitress was friendly. We ordered cokes which came in glass bottles which was a nice touch. My father and I ordered a burger and porkchop sandwhich and split them since we couldn't decide; everything sounded so good. The idea of high end burgers and sandwhiches is nice, but the execution was not. For the price it should have been better. I was not that impressed, it tasted more like casual dining. It was not impressive, only average. The setting is nice, the food is over rated.

I like Elsa's a lot, mostly for the burgers. We usually go on days when it's not too busy. Not a spot for families, but nice place for adults to chill at. They don't have a hostess station so you end up waiting and looking like an idiot sometimes by the bar and that sucks, but once you get seated and get your food you forget about that. I always order my burgers medium and they come big and juicy and very flavorful. I would not recommend on Fri or Sat nights. Way too busy, crowded and loud. Large groups don't sit very comfortably either as they end up pushing round tables together and someone always ends up in the awkward place between the two rounds (usually me). They do only give you about 5 waffle fries, but by the time I eat my burger I can barely fit anything else in my stomach. My biggest complaint would have to be there is no nonsmoking section. You just have to hope they don't sit any smokers around you while you eat b/c the tables are so close together you'll end up swallowing their smoke with your cheeseburger.

I know people who talk about this place like only the ones that have more than the average go there. the place is nice but the food is over priced but i think if you want to try something new do and be your own judge

This place is okay, but nothing to write home about. The bar/eating establishment (the menu consists of several appetizers, sandwiches and a couple of salads) seems clean and the atmosphere is artistic in a clever way. The crowd is very diverse, but you can't help to notice all the wannabees that are trying to be something they're not. It's actully quite annoying and is the number #1 reason I don't go there much often anymore. If you're truly out for a great dining experience or for a loungy type atmosphere with a sophisticated crowd for drinks, there are much better places in the city to go to.
