Sanford, Milwaukee

I have dined in fine restaurants all over the world and Sanfords is on my list of the top five I have ever experienced. He does the best veal I have ever tasted. I had veal at Lydia Bastiania's in New York and it was excellent but Sanford's was better. I first became a fan of Sanford when he was a chef at Byrons in the First Wisconsin Center. When he opened his own restaurant it was my top priority to dine there. It was wonderful. Aside from the food, the atmosphere led to delightful interaction with the other diners. I have recently moved to Denver, Colorado. One of the things I miss most about Milwaukee is being able to dine at Sanford's.

Simply the best restaurant for "foodies" in all of Milwaukee....Sandy D'Amato's place lives up to all the hype....food that pushes your palate in a good way....flavor profiles that are off the charts....set in a former family butcher shop....dining room is small, but charming....a real gem.....service was attentive without being over bearing.....just a wonderful dining experience

Second to none in the midwest, one of the very best in the U.S.. Sanford would get a food rating of 29 in Manhattan. As good or better than Charlie Trotter's for a fraction of the price. Reserve far ahead for weekends.

There is a reason why Sanford consistently reigns as the best restaurant in Milwaukee. The red snapper was packed with flavor and paired with one of Sanford's wonderful wine selections the meal was utterly amazing. If you pick one restaurant to dine at while in Milwaukee make sure it's Sanford.

Food is amazing here. Space is very small and intimate. Location is off the beaten path. Not a place to take a big group. Take your girl there to impress if she is a foodie. If you dont like food stay home and eat a frozen pizza.

Awesome food - beautifully presented and tastes delicious. The 8 course tasting menu is not to be missed.

Great food but VERY crowded. Be prepared to listen to the conversation at teh next table. Yuck
