Next Door Pub & Pizzeria, Lake Geneva

This had to be the worst Lasagna and Meatballs I ever had. I feel they have some nerve even serving meatballs that look like golf balls and were hard and dried out. The Lasagna was cold, hard noodles and cheese that was not even melted. Really don t understand this poor quality.

We love this place... for take out. If you like chewy thin-to-medium crust with tons of cheese and toppings, this is your place. The wings and other appetizers are great. For take out or delivery, Next Door Pub definitely deserves a 5-star rating, but the slow table service knocks off a point. The dining room often does fill up quickly. When we do dine in, we call ahead to make sure there are tables available, and we prepare for slow service (read: bring entertainment for your kids). Not only does the food take a long time to get out when the kitchen is busy, but the servers are not very attentive about drink refills or checking whether you need anything. The food is still definitely worth the wait!

The pizza at the Next Door pub is so good that it has ruined all other pizza for me. Now I m always stacking up other pizza to theirs and I find that nothing else compares. And it is not just the pizza that is good, but their entire menu. Throw in a good beer selection and excellent service and you have a great place to stop at while in town. No doubt it can get busy there, but that is good thing. They get so crowded because it is a great place to eat and watch a game. If it wasn t they be dead all the time like some other pizza places in town that I won t mention here.

Great pizza, and a place that's been around forever.

We were so happy to hear from a few local folks in Lake Geneva about the NEXT DOOR PUB - especially after going to several restaurants in the area that served just so-so food at expensive prices. The food is very good and reasonably priced, so it's a nice place for families. The service was excellent. The Pizza is delicious, as are the sandwiches. It's nothing fancy - just a comfortable restaurant with good food, and there's a separate bar area in which patrons are served, too.

The bar is great, the patrons are blue collar friendly people. They had recently been bought by another family and have renovated their interior dining room. Nothing really extra-special about their food, although the pizza is OK. It used to be better in my opinion, seems they went with less costly prepackaged ingredients or something- Im not sure. I have had the italian past salad a few times and had to send it back- very odd taste. The italian beef is excellent, and the prices are right on. Great place for lunch or a drink and an appetizer at the bar.

If you go to Lake Geneva, you HAVE to stop here for lunch or dinner. The pizza is the best I have ever had. I live in the Chicago area and we will drive to Lake Geneva just for their food. Spend the day in by the lake and then go to Next Door Pub for dinner. The bar food is awesome also. The chicken wings come in all different flavors and they are all good. The pasta, burgers, sandwiches are good also. I have taken many people there from my family to my kids teenage friends to my parents and tell them it is the best pizza ever - they are always skeptical but every single one has agreed and they all have stopped there when they go thru Wisconsin! SUPERB! We always order a pizza to go also and wrap it up to take home! Trust me and try it - you will not be disappointed.
